The Dinner Table – Strength Magazine – April, 1925

I have had a great many letters since this department began from people who wanted to know what to eat to increase their strength and to stimulate them to greater activity and endurance. In almost every case I gathered from parts of the letters that the real cause of the lack of energy of which the writers all complained would state that he had one bowel action every day, and hence concluded that the cause of constipation couldn’t possibly be constipation.
