The Dinner Table – Strength Magazine – March, 1925

When I was a little girl, Monday was the event of the week. It was in the good old days when the cook also did the family wash and Grandmother rolled up her sleeves and came into the kitchen. Although she probably didn’t know it, Grandmother was a philosopher. She did not believe in Blue Monday, but neither did she believe in doing a lot of unnecessary, hard work, and so she chose soup for dinner.
