W.B. Hobert Jr. – Strength Magazine – July, 1917

Mr. Hobert’s strength compares favorably with that of my very best pupils. The only trouble seems to be that there is nobody living near him who is strong enough to make him exert himself in competition. In one of our spring exhibitions, we had a contest at the one-arm pull-over, where the athlete lies flat on the back, and with the arm held rigidly straight, pulls a dumbbell in a quarter-circle movement from the floor above the chest.
