I have often met people, and I expect you have, too, who an vegetarians by conviction, and yet do not live up to what they believe. It is usual to find, however, that they tried vegetarianism, and found that it failed utterly in their particular cases. Having had a very similar experience myself, I have for many years been trying to ascertain why it is that, while the idea of eating animal flesh is most abhorrent to me, abstinence from it has always led to most unhappy results.
