The PowerBlock caused me wrist and elbow tendinitis. The weight is not balanced properly and will displace inappropriately during lifts. The quality of material and manufacturing was top notch, functionality is very Piotr. If need to save space, try Nuobell, feels just like actual DB’s.

I absolutely hate these dumbbells. They’re bulky, hard to use for many traditional dumbbell movements, and uncomfortable to use. First thing first, Rogue is great and this review has nothing to do with them. Second, this is a very high quality product. Third, it does what it advertises very well; it’s very economical on space and you can change weight very quickly and easily. That’s why I’m still giving 3 stars. My problem is entirely with the design and the idea that these are a good alternative to traditional dumbbell style. Basically, the weights are so bulky that I can’t use them well for most the movements I use dumbbells for (rows, curls, triceps extensions, goblet squats, etc). The size makes it so I can’t get a full stretch like I normally would on these exercises. And they’re useless for less range of movement exercises because I already have barbells for those. Also, the handle really sucks. It’s a contoured plastic handle with very poor grip and balance. Many in the online home gym community that you probably trust will speak the praises of powerblocks. I trusted that advice and it was a big mistake. Is that their fault? No. Should I have done more research? Maybe. Should I have bought a less expensive version to see if I liked the design before going all in on the top end set? Absolutely. The point is, ignore the hype in powerblocks and don’t make the costly mistake I made.

Bought this about 2 months ago. It was definitely the more expensive option per adjustable dumbbells but I wanted something I’d only have to purchase once and last forever with no regrets. This is it. This isn’t just two adjustable dumbbells, it’s a set up. Comes with its own stand (don’t buy a stand separate) and two sets of 5lb or 10 lb base dumbells used to adjust the weights. If you can afford the upfront cost, I recommend this set up.

I’ve owned Powerblock Dumbells for over 20 years and I’ve always been a huge fan. They work fantastic as push-up bars (expensive push-up bars lol) and are perfect for renegade rows. They couldn’t be better for drop sets. I workout by myself and it makes a huge difference quickly changing weights so I can chase the pump. I upgraded to the 90lb and was disappointed that i had the max dumbells available. I’ve always been a Dumbell purist and feel I get my best chest development avoiding barbells. Then I found these U175 bad boys and knew I had to get them. They don’t have adder weights and have nice open handles. The urethane coating makes the dumbells quiet and somehow, even with the openness of the handles I found that they are quite balanced and feel amazing to workout with. I wouldn’t call these Powerblock dumbells expensive, I would call them a worthwhile lifelong investment. Expertly made and enough weight to challenge anyone who seeks to become the best version of themself they can be, I can think of no better investment. They even comes with a nice fancy stand with wheels! If your seeking the best, don’t be shy and pull the trigger. You won’t be disappointed)

These are awesome compact and durable! From 5-90lbs and a great heavy duty stand as well! Totally worth it!

I don’t often write a review but I had such a great customer service with power block That people should know I just want to say that power block is a great company I’ve had my set for more than five years. I recently contacted the company because I needed a replacement part for one of the components and the customer service was amazing and the price for the delivery and the item was also great. So if you’re thinking about purchasing power block and they’re not cheap but it’s a great company and they will help you if you ever need Replacement parts.

If you're thinking about it, jump. Well built, silent operation(no ringing or clanging), grips are some of the best I've tried. I didn't think these could completely replace my regular dumbells but I was wrong. One of the best purchases I've made for my home gym. Price was a little steep but I'd pay it again if I lost these.
