Reebok Legacy Lifter

Available here in black and gold, the Legacy Lifter is Reebok’s precision-engineered Olympic weightlifting shoe. This advanced design combines the latest science with quality construction and style—plus a level of comfort and breathability rarely found in a competition-ready lifting shoe.

The Legacy Lifter features a high and wide, 22mm thick drop-heel and extra-hard TPU clip for maximum stability on the heaviest lifts. Overlapping straps create a full, lockdown foot wrap, while the shoe’s breathable upper, cushioned midsole, and anatomical sockliner offer ample support for producing maximum power.

The grip rubber on the outsole of the Legacy Lifter is battle tested for seven years of proven traction and protection. The collar features 100% ETC anti-microbial lining (to reduce heat and abrasions) and a full foam lining with an achilles pad for added comfort.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very comfortable, durability leaves could improve I purchased these shoes back in October and wear them approx. once per week. These are very comfortable shoes. The lift is excellent and I love the two adjustable straps. I haven't had the problems that some of the other reviewers have had i.e. the soles of my shoes are still going strong and they show minimal wear. However, the velcro is already disintegrating and the straps frequently come undone mid-lift. For such expensive shoes, I expect better performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First dedicated lifting shoe - very solid My precious pair of lifting shoes were the original Reebok CF lifting shoe, which were great and light, but nowhere near the level of security and stability that these shoes offer. I’m a size 9.5 in the Nano, and I ordered a size 9.5 in the Legacy, which fit me perfectly. I have a wide foot, so the size 9 cramped my toes laterally a little too much. These are heavy, so no bar-facing burpees in these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best weightlifting shoes. I have tried adidas and Nike weightlifting shoes and have to admit that these feel the most solid out of the 3. You shouldn’t try to lace them super tight though. Instead use the Velcro strap to get them as tight as you want. Very stable and no squeaks!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome shoes. I purchased these shoes about 2 months ago, and am very pleased with them. They took a little getting used to at first because they are my first pair of lifting shoes that I’ve ever owned. Now I couldn’t imagine lifting without them. All of my PRs have gone up by at least 15 to 20 lbs !! Great product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sole coming off after two weeks. I bought these on May 29th (Order number AP059692) and it took a while to ship to my APO address so I got them after mid June. I used them a total of 5 or 6 times in the next two weeks for squats and Olympic lifts before noticing the sole coming off. I was not happy. My Adipowers after two years of use and competitions were still holding up fine until someone stole them from my gym. I wish I still had those. I thought I'd try something new but regret it. Currently I'm emailing Reebok to try and get a refund or replacement, perhaps this was a one off. But the heal area appears to be pulling apart as well and this is on both shoes so I'm not too sure about that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low Durability. Not worth $200 I bought these shoes a few months ago and overall I was very happy with their performance until recently when I noticed that the laces were slicing through the lace holes at the top. The laces have almost completely cut through on both shoes and now I need to look at repairing or replacing them. For $200 I expected much higher quality and durability and I was extremely disappointed to find that they are already wearing out after such a short period of time. My recommendation would be to pass on the Legacy Lifters and buy a pair of lifting shoes that will last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best shoes i ever had for weightlifting! By far, the best lifting shoe on the market. I have used adidas and nike but never these reebok, and I can say that the legacy are much better. Solid shoe, solid heel, solid lifts, solid for some wod´s in crossfit too! Best

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First pair of lifting shoes These are my first pair of lifting shoes, and they have been great so far very stable and the two different Velcro straps are awesome. I usually lace up the shoes loose then tighten the first strap over the toes letting my heel slide out when I walk. This helps keep the shoes from breaking in and bending when I walk around between sets. Overall very happy with this purchase when these go out I’ll probably buy the same brand, whichever model is out at the time. I used to squat in chucks because it’s all I knew I was struggling around 405-445 put these shoes on and immediately noticed the difference hit a PR of 465 and it’s only gone up from there.
