Rated 2 out of 5 by from poor review i bought these thinking they were the ones where you loop through and get that extra tight feel on your wrist but these are sewed in at the tip and are kind of hard to get that tight feel, i would not recommend these for heavy dead lifts. and i also found them to be too long in compare to old school non leather lifting straps. ill keep trying to somehow find a way to make them feel comfortable and useful but they are in my opinion too long and always end up getting loose from my wrist. although i love shopping from this website i'm gonna have to give these a 2 star and hope that I have just been putting them on wrong because i would of loved to hit a pr in my dead lift with these

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Little Long I bought these for Christmas and have been putting them to use for the past couple of weeks. In the beginning they were a little difficult to get adjusted to due to the length. Now that I am accustomed to them, however, they work great! Risto products are hit or miss but the straps are an overall hit in my opinion. The leather is great, it is easier to bail while using these, and they look good too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Weightlifting (NOT POWERLIFTING) Straps These are some of the best weightlifting straps out there. Bottom-line up front: if you are a serious weightlifter (and by weightlifting, I mean Olympic lifting), these are a really solid option if you like a little length to your straps. To hopefully clarify some things for people: These are weightlifting straps, not to be mistaken with powerlifting straps. These are constructed such that you loop them around the bar once (not like the example picture), which allows you to get out of them quickly -- this is extremely important, especially if you intend to snatch in them. Powerlifting straps are designed to fit tight around your wrist and wrap several times around the bar so that you have the strongest grip possible. That's okay for powerlifting and performing slower lifts, but not ideal (and potentially dangerous) for performing faster lifts like the snatch. Straps are mostly used for heavy pulls and extensions, but may also be used for snatching. It is not recommended that you use them for cleans, as they are more difficult to release if you need to dump from the rack position (this can lead to injuries). You should certainly never attempt PR cleans with straps. These leather straps are a little longer than other brands, such as Average Broz or Ironmind, but I, as well as many of my lifters, prefer the length. The leather is stiff to begin with, but give it two weeks, and they'll be supple and shape to your wrist. They are really comfortable and durable. Most of our weightlifting club uses these Risto straps. I highly recommend these straps, but make sure you learn how to use them properly. It is not safe to perform the classic lifts with straps if you have not learned how to do so safely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Suggestion to Aaron Maggetti I don't own these, but I am using the same kind of simple piece of nylon strap (no loops, no velcro, nothing). All you have to do is to wrap it around the wrist once and then around the bar - works amazing! Better then the regular "loop" style straps, which tend to stop the blood circulation. Just don't use them like the picture is showing, it's really useless that way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from All right Solid lifting straps, with a caveat: Unfortunately, the pair I got are of a substantially lower quality than I expected based on the photos. The outside leather doesn't have that nice, dark tanned look and instead of the nearly black, finished interior like in the photos, it has an light, unfinished appearance and texture. Disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never Going Back To Nylon These leather straps where well worth the money. My other straps have officially been retired and never will come out again. The more you use these straps the better they feel. I'm truly in love my Risto Lifting Straps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I just love leather, so I'm kinda biased. That being said, I love these straps. They performed well right out of the box with some heavy heavy snatch pulls. Love them for days when my hands are just way to chewed up to train. Great product....and they are leather!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It figures that a cross fitter would give these five stars (not a real powerlifter) Lifters who actually know what a wrist wrap is intended to do, would not be advised to get these. Make sure you take a close look at the picture so that you know what you're getting. These are not traditional wraps where you loop one end through the other and cinch it tight around your wrist and then around the bar; this is simply a long piece of leather with the ends sewn together. Therefore, there is nothing to wrap around other than the bar without this loop and will most likely have to be taken off after each lift because there is nothing to keep them in place. It's hard to explain without a visual to give everyone but I find this design to be inefficient and pointless for what lifting straps are intended to do.
