Rated 5 out of 5 by from They do the job. I bought these plates a few months ago. I have not weighed them but they seem balanced well enough. The exterior looks clean, It's smooth but grips fine to pick up. They're weights. They work as intended, making the bar heavier. Price was good, and shipping was quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful plates Very nice looking plates!!! Accurate weight and great condition. Ordered 80 lbs of cast iron, which I was extremely happy to get during the middle of a pandemic! Got a pair of 25’s, 10’s, and 5’s. The gloss coat rubs off a bit from the collar opening area during first couple of uses, but that’s a very minor detail. It dusts right off the barbell and hardly noticeable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What was I thinking Well I needed plates and these were available and thought why not? I use them for deadlifts and squats. Thats it haha. At this point I really need a tree rack for my plates now because what I found out is that if you have a buddy that owns a pair of these and he gets you mad one day. Lay those plates on the side. I still enjoy my plates and use all of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Customer Service! I had purchased 4 pairs of plates but one pair had a bit of rust on them, I was not really bothered by it but just thought I would have let them known about the issue. They managed to ship a pair out to me at no cost. And these plates are amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great plates not priced higher than competition I have had these plates for about 2 months. Despite having the same lettering as the competitions which ship for nearly the same cost, the finish on the Rogue plates is far superior in terms of smoothness and paint. I’ve cut myself losing plates with other company plates because of small jagged edges on the finish But love these. Will likely replace the other two pairs with Rogue plates!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality cast iron and service from Rogue This is a follow-up from my previous post about the Rogue olympic cast iron 5 pounders. Since the 5s were so good, I went ahead and ordered Rogue cast iron 10s and 25s. The box for my 10s arrived opened and with one of the plates missing. I used Rogue’s contact form on a Saturday had a reply from Mike minutes later, then had a replacement in 3 business days. That’s above-and-beyond great service, in a pandemic no less. I wouldn’t ever expect that, but want to give credit where it’s due. The finish on the 10s looks great, just like the 5s. Weighed on a good scale, they were within 0.4 lbs of the stated weight. One of the 10s needed a little smoothing of a minor bur in the hole, but not bad at all. My good scale doesn’t weigh heavier things so couldn’t weigh the 25s as accurately, but my cheap bathroom scale tells me they are exactly 25 lbs. One of the 25s had some rust and the box it came in looked like it had been left in a puddle at some point during its journey here. Rogue does a good job packing these in thick cardboard boxes and then in plastic bags, and then thick plastic straps around all of it. But life can be rough for heavy plates during the shipping process. In my case the cardboard and plastic had both been compromised during the journey, so water got into one of the plate packages. At first I thought it might be a problem, but luckily, it was only surface rust, and it cleaned up easily with a nylon brush and oil. Now it looks better than new. A nice thing about cast iron plates is how resilient they are. Rogue seems to be consistently very accurate with the diameter of the collar opening on all of the 8 cast iron plates I’ve received. These cast iron plates fit snug with very little wobble compared to non-Rogue cast iron plates. Assuming you’ve got a quality barbell, I think this is a good reason to stick with Rogue for cast irons. This is one of the areas where there is a clear difference, at least in my experience so far. For the 45s, I went with the deep dish iron plates, and write about those separately on that product page. But want to mention that the Rogue cast iron plates pair nicely with their deep dish plates. While the finish is a little different, they are all black plates and work well together on the bar. Since they don’t make deep dish change plates at this time, and Rogue’s other machined plates are all gray, these cast iron plates are an ideal pair with them if you are wanting to stick with the same color of plates (black).
