Stack and rack weights for a clean home gym look and feel.

This is a great tree for storing plates - good amount of storage space, and it includes well thought-out placement of holes that can be used to attach band pegs and other accessories. The quality falls flat at the wheels though. These are fine for very controlled environments - i.e., in an indoor gym with smooth floors. But the wheels are just too small of a diameter for uneven pavement and/or to roll over thin (1/2" or less) rubber flooring when fully loaded up. For uneven pavement, the wheels will get stuck in small grooves or they'll require a tremendous amount of effort to roll over even tiny cracks in pavement. For thin rubber, the wheels cause the rubber to bunch up, which can move lighter rubber mats and can make it impossible to move a fully-loaded tree. For context, I have an outdoor gym that's about 15 yards away from my equipment storage shed (that's the only way I could get the gym installed at my home). So i roll the plate tree across uneven pavement between the storage shed and my rubber-floor gym in the backyard. I use thicker rubber flooring (3/4") and it rolls without trouble over rubber flooring, but I've run into problems with similar plate trees in commercial gyms that use thinner rubber floors. The tree makes the trip, but with much more difficulty than it should. This should be an easy fix on Rogue's part - just offer larger diameter wheels as an option for those of us with less-than-ideal surfaces between our squat rack and storage area!

Solid. This was exactly what I needed for my deep dish plates. The wheels were a good addition.

This tree gets the job done. Easy to assemble, doesn't take up much space, and is built to carry a decent amount. I was tired of tripping over plates scattered around my workout space and this definitely helps keep me organized. [100lbs German Shepherd pup added for scale.]

I have had this for about 4 years now. I have a smaller space so the wheels on this have been perfect for me in terms of function. My only gripe is the powder coat on the plate pegs chip very easily and quickly with everyday use…seems like the wrong finish choice for their function. If you are also looking for a great small footprint storage solution you can’t go wrong here, but I do hope they improve the finish in the future.

When I first found this weight tree on Rogue's website, my first question was why it was being sold for $240. I originally had all 10 of my 45lb plates stacked on top of a wooden fence board to keep them off the foundation, and the other 25s, 10s, 5s and 2.5s stacked neatly on a nearby shelf. Weight storage was a necessary expense and while I'm used to the old A-frame style weight tree, I decided I liked the look of this style and so I purchased one during my latest round of buying new equipment for my home gym. When it arrived, Rogue had shipped it in two boxes. One box held the upright and the bolts/nuts/washers, and the other held the stand. I soon learned why it was $240. The boxes were rather heavy, I'd estimate about 30 to 50lbs each, and long. When removing the weight tree from it's cardboard confines, I discovered it's also quite large. When fully assembled, this thing stands 50 inches tall, which is 4 feet and 2 inches. It also occupies a horizontal area of 4sqft and takes up a total of 16 cubic feet thanks to the fact that each spoke is about 12 inches long. It's stupidly large compared to the old school weight trees, and so I've affectionately named it my "comically large weight tree." I, like many home gym owners, don't have much space and so maximizing the limited amount of space is important, making this weight tree detrimental to that goal. The Rogue build instructions also show placing the bolts facing outwards so the nuts are on the outside. This takes another inch or so, so I would flip them around to save that space. Despite this gripe, this thing is very stout and is currently carrying quite a bit without an issue. My recommendation for this would depend on if you have a lot of space or not. For someone with a smaller space, I'd say skip this and look at power rack based weight storage instead. Mine is against a wall with the weight spokes parallel to said wall, so it prevents me from using that wall to hang things as well.

Positives about this Tree. Well built. Good welds. Can hold a TON of weight. Powder coated. Its even portable BUT in a garage, there are some issues. I bought the wheels for this tree and was shocked that none of the wheels had a brake on them. Even with 800# of plates, pulling a plate off causes the tree to roll towards me. So, I had to tighted the wheel bolts down to prevent it from rolling in my sloped garage. Definitely recommend synching the wheels like I did and/or putting it on rubber. I bought the wheels only to make the lower posts further away from the ground. Powder coated is fine, for Repurposed tire plates and HD plates - not Urethane or Competition plates. If you look at Rogues pictures, you can see "cloudiness" on the tops of the posts - the hubs quickly remove that costing (commercial plates dont). To address this, ill be stripping the paint off the posts and putting a "truck bed liner" to enhance durability and resist oxidation (Not Rogues Problem) Small thing, the Rogue sticker has a bunch of bubbles (must have had dust in the air when they put it on) no biggie, just surprising because none of my other rogue branding has a single bubble. Again, great tree. Works great! Definitely would love to have two of the 4 wheels with brakes. My review should not prevent you from getting this tree. I would buy it again!

I bought this last week. It won’t fit together. I contacted Rogue via their site, and followed up with a phone call. The rep on the phone was nice and said a replacement and shipping label would be sent my way. Now I’m dealing with a big runaround trying to get plates off of my floor. It does appear like it will be good once I can use It.
