Approved for Use in the New U.S. Army Combat Fitness Test
Our US MIL Spec Bumpers are Made in America from recycled crumb rubber, giving them superior durability for all-condition indoor/outdoor training with little to no change in texture and appearance over time. With Version 2.0, a new proprietary process has also given the plates an improved, smoother finish without sacrificing any of that long-term robustness.
All weight increments of the Rogue US MIL Spec Bumpers measure the same 450mm (17.716") in total diameter—the same as standard competition plates—and they are officially approved for use in the new U.S. Army Combat Fitness Test.
The 50mm stainless steel insert in this design is recessed inward to prevent hub-to-hub collisions when multiple plates are loaded on a bar. This not only protects the stability of the insert, but prolongs the overall life of each plate.
The improved finish is all-black with embossed Rogue branding and weight indications. The shore A durometer rating is approx. 80 and the weight tolerance is +/- 2% of the indicated measurement.

Please Note: As with most crumb rubber plates, this manufacturing process can sometimes create slight color variations, such as white fleck from recycled white tires, and other minor aesthetic imperfections. Of course, quality plates come down to performance, not just winning beauty pageants.

These plates are manufactured with pride in the state of Alabama, using quality recycled crumb rubber and stainless steel, recessed inserts. The crumb rubber is extremely durable and uniquely optimized for indoor and outdoor use, withstanding the elements without wearing down or losing its looks or texture. The recessed inserts also do their part for long-term durability, preventing two steel hubs from colliding as plates are loaded on the bar. Importantly, all increments of US MIL Spec Bumpers have the same overall diameter of 450mm, meaning an athlete can combine these uniformly with standard comp plates. Version 2.0 also introduces a new proprietary finishing process that gives the all-black plates a smoother look.

Approved for the new Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT)
Our MIL Spec Bumpers have been officially approved for use with the United States Army’s Combat Fitness Test, a 6-event readiness assessment that replaced the previous 3-event Army Physical Fitness Test in 2020. The grueling new ACFT is neutral across all genders and age groups, and includes a strength deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint/drag/carry, leg tuck, and a 2-mile run. Because of their uniform size and resilience as outdoor plates, these bumpers are particularly well suited for ACFT use.

10’s turn into tacos
45’& 25’s are good to go the 10’s turn into tacos under any pressure what do ever. Little bit of chipping but that’s ok it’s to be expected but those 10’s are not worth it.

High Hopes Crushed
I honestly expected a better quality from these. I’ve had these bumper plates for roughly 2 months. They are marked for indoor/outdoor so I expected a toughness to them - not the case. I don’t drop smaller plates, use them on a carpeted area outside and they are stored inside a covered area, not to be wet or in sunlight. Exposed to heat during use for an hour or so, but I am the only one using them and the edges of plates used are already crumbling and chunking off. Pretty disappointing. I had an issue with a few plates having defects upon delivery and Rogue was quick to replace them; great customer service. It would behoove you to spend extra $ for the next upgraded plate set. I would imagine for those doing lots of heavy Oly or powerlifting these would not last, esp in a high volume gym setting or exposed to elements.

Fantastic Quality
Literally the same thing we used on the ACFT. These plates are rugged and grippy, easy to throw around, I love em. The fact that they're cheaper than some of the other plates is just icing on the cake.

Leaves black everywhere
These plates are great for my home garage gym, except that every time I pick one up it leaves black residue all over my hands, the bar, etc. such a mess! Contacted customer service and was told it was normal and to scrub them down with simple green. Did that, and to no avail still black residue wearing off the plates. Purchased 2021 so they have been used on and off for the last 2 years. It’s a real pain as the gym seems filthy all the time and I have to wash my hands between lifts!!!

Nice upgrade from V1 except the 10s and 15s
The new version is great on the bigger plates, noticeably thinner, cleaner looking plate. The 10s though, forget about whether you can drop them, they taco under the weight of a 45 lb bar. 15s should probably be set down as well. This was not an issue ar all with the V1 plate.
