Honestly a little bit too hardcore for me. I have very big calves and even had compartment syndrome surgery this summer, so this dug too deep for me. I should've probably gone with a lighter, cheaper one. But if your calves aren't that big and really want to dig in there this would probably be good for you. It's very hard to open up though. Maybe just because my arms aren't very strong.

I bought this just over three months and it is really a game changer. Great for reaching spots on the legs that are harder to reach with a traditional foam roller. Worth every penny.

Man this thing digs in deep. It’s the only tool like it on the market and no wonder why it has so many good reviews. My quads, IT Bands and hamstrings feel so much better after just a few minutes with the R8. I take it to the gym and everyone steals it!

I bought this thing on a whim seeing it in the new product section. I always wanted a mobility tool that can clamp down on my limbs for rolling, but nothing I've seen looked like it could get the job done. That is until I saw the R8. It's built out of of plastic and it feels very sturdy yet still being lightweight enough for one handed use. I don't believe the R8 can replace or match the versatility of a foam roller but it excels in ways that a foam roller can't touch. The R8 makes rolling legs, calves, and arms a breeze. If you have a partner, rolling arms and shoulders is even better. The only con that I can find with it is that the jaws are bit narrow for my glutes. It's probably fine for most people but my butt is big so foam roller wins there. Also this is not the tool for rolling your back, chest, abs, etc. but that should be pretty self evident. There's also optional attachments that you can purchase if you want more or less pressure but as of writing, rogue doesn't carry them. In conclusion, if you are considering this as an improvement over a foam roller for your arms, calves, legs, or hips, buy it. You'll fall in love with it as my girlfriend and I did.
