Monster Lite Spotter Arms

Compatible with all Monster Lite racks, Rogue’s heavy-duty 24” Safety Spotter Arms are designed to protect both the weightlifter and the bar itself.

When adding spotter arms to an existing rack, dependability is always the optimum word-- particularly for athletes training alone in a home gym or garage gym. This is why Rogue manufactures its Monster Lite Spotter Arms from 3x3” 11-gauge steel tubing, with welded-on end-plates for additional safety and specially designed hitch-pins to lock the spotters in place. The arms feature a UHMW plastic insert on top to protect  the knurling of your bars.

Like all products in the Monster Lite line, these spotters feature 5/8” holes and a 5/8” pin, rather than the 1” varieties of the standard Monster Spotter Arms.

Essential, Amazing, and they work with RML-3W
Simply excellent and a long overdue item in my garage gym. Glad I finally picked up a pair, particularly as my son is getting into lifting as well. Super sturdy, with multiple uses. They work with the RML-3W; you just have to pay attention to your configuration and how high/low the lower supports are placed. Overall - they’re incredible.

Literally Saved My Life
These literally saved me from serious injury or very possibly saved my life. I have my SML2 in my garage with these spotter arms. I debated on getting these when I ordered my rack because of the price but ultimately decided to get them since i'd be working out alone. A few days ago I was working out in my garage with the garage door open, as I usually do. There happened to be a small thunderstorm at that time. I have an old mirror angled behind me as you can see in the picture. During one of my chest/bench sets a strong gust of wind blew through my garage as the storm escalated and the mirror fell forward striking me on the head as I fully extended. It's not a heavy mirror so it didn't really hurt much but it really startled me and when that happened I DROPPED the weight! it just happened, I lost control and the bar SLAMMED on the spotter arms half an inch away from my jaw/throat area.... God knows what would have happened had I not had these. GET THEM! It's not worth what could happen if you don't. I consider myself a strong person but I never would have anticipated what happened to me.

Great safety feature
These safety arms improved my lifting by allowing me to try an extra rep on the bench press without the fear of having the barbell stuck on my chest. Prior to having the safety arms I never extended the number of reps beyond the point where I was sure I could successfully complete them. If you lift alone like me, this is a must-have piece of equipment.

RML-3W Folding Rack Disclaimer
I think the quality on these is great. I use them for squatting. However, Rogue should include a big disclaimer for using these for benching with RML-3W. If you have a wall mounted folding rack and you need to mount the support beams to the wall a bit higher for any reason, then the spotter arms may not attach to the frame at a low enough height for benching. I just read a similar review that Rogue just brushed off as "ohh get a contractor to look at it first". I don't think that is reasonable as most customers are most likely DIYers and even still with a contractor, it may be quite hard to work out those logistics without at least buying the hardware already.

High Quality - But.........
These are high quality like everything else at Rogue. HOWEVER they will not work on a fold back wall mount system!! The back plate is so long it interferes with the stringer bolts and can't be mounted low enough to be a bench press spotter. An easy redesign would take care of this.

Thank you for posting your feedback on the SAML-24s. These will work on a Monster Lite Fold Back Rack. Please ensure your set up is checked by a contractor. From there, you will need to orient the height of your crossmembers in such a way that allows you to still have room for your desired uses.
