Mateusz Kieliszkowski

Coming from a nation with a storied strongman legacy, Mateusz Kieliszkowski has established himself as Poland’s preeminent strength athlete and a global powerhouse. Born in Maszewo, Poland in 1993, Mateusz stands 6’5” and 325 lbs, a combination of power and athleticism that propelled him onto the international stage. At just 22, he shocked the world by podiuming at the Arnold Strongman Classic, becoming the youngest ever to do so.

By 2017, he was a dominant force—winning the plane pull at World’s Strongest Man, setting a Cyr Dumbbell press world record (141.5 kg / 312 lbs), and taking gold at Arnold Strongman Africa. In 2018, despite battling injuries, he finished 2nd at World’s Strongest Man, broke records with a 410 lb Stone-to-Shoulder, and a 330 lb Circus Dumbbell. He repeated as runner-up at WSM in 2019, won Arnold Strongman Europe, and secured 2nd at the 2020 Arnold Classic.

Injuries began to hinder his momentum: Koielszkowski underwent a triceps surgery in 2020, missed key competitions in 2021–22, and sat out events like WSM and the Shaw Classic due to knee issues. After about two years out, he returned to competition strong.

In March 2023, he earned 2nd place at the Arnold Strongman Classic, marking a significant comeback . Later that year, he secured 3rd at the Rogue Invitational (October 2023)—his first podium at that event—in excelling in overhead events and pulling events.

2024 began auspiciously with another 2nd place at the Arnold Strongman Classic, highlighted by winning the Stone Medley. Already in 2025, he claimed 3rd at Europe's Strongest Man.
