Monster Lite Half Rack

More space-efficient than a standard power rack with greater storage potential than most squat stands, the Monster Lite Half Rack is a unique hybrid unit that sacrifices none of the quality or durability of its full-size cousins.

The M-Lite Half Rack is manufactured in the USA and features (4) 90” tall uprights made from 3x3” 11-gauge steel with 5/8” numbered holes and a Medium Gloss Black finish. The unit can be ordered with an inside depth of either 17” of 24” and comes standard with:

  • (1) Laser-Cut, Black-On-Black Rogue Nameplate / Back Crossmember
  • (1) Single Skinny Front Pull-Up Bar
  • (8) Plate Storage Posts - 12.5” Loadable Length, Signature Texture Black
  • (1) Set of Standard Monster Lite J-Cups - Signature Texture Black
  • (1) Set of Band Pegs - Black Zinc
  • (2) Angled Monster Lite Front Feet - MG Black
  • All Required 5/8” Hardware

The front foot design is a new M-Lite variation on the type we introduced with the Monster Collegiate Half Rack. Extending 30” from the face of the front uprights with holes spaced 2” on center, these angled feet help keep the rack firmly stabilized even when dropping weight on a set of (optional) Safety Spotter Arms.* They also provide convenient attachment points for doing band work in front of the rack, or for adding compatible accessories like the Rogue Landmine. Please Note: If you plan to use the Half Rack for band work, we recommend fastening the unit securely to the floor. Floor mounting hardware is not included.

*Rogue’s Monster Lite Safety Spotter Arm pairs are available to add to your order at additional cost, and are recommended as an important safety feature for anyone planning to lift on their own. The 3x3” 11-gauge steel arms and UHMW lining help protect both the athlete from injury and the barbell from damage on a drop.

ANGLED FRONT FEET FOR STABILITY & ATTACHMENTS

Adapting an angled foot design from our Monster Collegiate Half Rack, the foot attachments included with the M-Lite Half Rack each extend 30” off the facing of the front two uprights, and include a series of 7 numbered holes (5/8” in diameter, spaced 2” on center) along the horizontal portion of the attachment, plus 4 additional holes along the angled portion. Along with reinforcing the stability of the unit, these foot extensions also make it easy to attach band pegs out in front of the rack, as well as other Monster Lite compatible accessories like the Rogue Landmine.

Equipment has excellent quality and stability
I bought the Monster Lite Half Rack 24” at the end of April along with the 24 Monster Lite Safety Spotter Arms and Kettle Bell Shelf (as well as misc equipment I.e. medicine balls, kettlebells, etc). Everything shipped quickly and I had all of the parts within 10 days. Rogue did ship only 3 of the 4 legs for the rack initially. I emailed customer service and sent them photos of everything and the boxes as they were delivered and they sent a replacement out with no hassle. Other than that the rack was easy to build. I would add that Rogue should have a “master” assembly instruction sheet showing all possible parts and pieces (I.e. shelves, etc) and recommended assembly order instead of separate instructions for all pieces. Note that if you buy the kettlebell shelf be sure to install it before you tighten down all of the bolts on the rack because you won’t be able to slide it in otherwise. This will save you some bad words and having to go back and loosen bolts and then tightening down again. After about 6 weeks of using my new equipment I am super pleased. It is sturdy and does not sway at all, even with doing chest to bar pull ups, toes to bar, or KIP swings. I feel 100% confident in the stability and longevity of this equipment for myself and my family.

Bomb Proof
Just got this rack installed yesterday. It's so over built for the majority of people who will use it. Love it. It could probably withstand a bomb landing on it. The hole spacing is perfect. It fits perfectly in my garage with plenty of space left over. On top of the rack being so awesome, the customer service was impeccable. A very critical piece was lost in the mail along the way. Rogue staff (Selena) got me a new one on the way immediately. I would highly recommend this rack for a home, garage, or even a small commercial gym.

Incredible.
I got the 17” version. It is amazingly sturdy. I am an avid weight lifter, but don’t do anything super heavy. 400 or pound deadlifts are about all this thing will see from me. Love this thing, I would recommend to anyone!

Monster Lite is Amazing.
I bought the Monster Lite half-rack with Ohio bar, as well as the Rogue rubber plate set. It’s perfect! Aside from a minor parts issue (resolved in less than 72 hours, to include shipping) this was a great purchase. Easy to assemble (easier with help) and doesn’t take up too much garage space. Highly recommended.

The Monster Rack Rocks !
The Rack is a 75th Birthday for myself and will be handed down to the Grandkids in the future. I got rid of my antiquated old rack and said to myself -WHY NOT !!! I can't thank Rogue enough for the Customer Service help in placing the order and follow up when the delivery service had a slight glitch . I BOUGHT THE Rogue wrenches and it made a big difference in assembly. Wow, it is a BEAST and sturdy as a Rock. Iwent for the 24 inch depth and the Spotter arms . Smartest move I made. The hardest part was the nameplate and it was abich, but having my 6'7 305 lb. Son-in-law helping me made it Cake. LOL. My Grankids do chins and pulls on it and love it. The Band pegs are awesome. This is the Best decision I have made in a long time and wish I had done it sooner .What a Great piece of Equipment and typical of the products sold by Rogue. ALL my Bars fit on it and I recommend you measure them to be sure they fit. All Specs by Rogue are precise and correct , as is the footprint.

Heavy duty
Purchased last week, items arrived in about 7 days, faster than expected. I’ll start with the bad before the good, because overall impression is very good. Just about every piece came with these surface markings that don’t come off. I don’t care because this is a utilitarian piece of equipment, but this ended up being an $1800 order for the rack, spotter arms, landmine, matador, plus shipping, so I might expect the finish to look like it’s brand new, which in some areas it doesn’t. I’ve also bought equipment from other sites where an order more than a few hundred dollars prompts them to throw in a free t shirt or stickers or hat or something. No such luck here. Now, onto the good. The rack is massive, and heavy, and heavy duty. The steel is way thicker gage and larger than I anticipated (even though I had read the specs it just feels bigger than what I expected). It was straightforward to assemble with exactly the right amount of hardware which is also heavy duty. A couple tips: if you are going to get matador and you plan to mount it on the rear as shown in these photos, you’ll have to move one of your plate storage posts up or down. This wasn’t an issue for me because I have mixed diameter plates. Also, the rack is more stable front to back than side to side, so with matador mounted as shown in photo, there is a little bit of sway during a set of dips. This is very minor, but I may end up pulling the rack out from the wall a couple more feet and mounting the matador off the back side. I am also considering switching the rogue crossmember to the front and the pull-up bar to the back to allow supersets of pull-ups with squats or bench or other barbell lifts that require the rack.

jaw dropping - slurp up your drool - beautiful
She's an absolute tank. Perfect for a home/garage set up. Unless if you want a massive footprint (not saying anything against 6 post racks) or if you need a foldable rack, this IMO is one of the most ideal solutions. Not sure why there aren't many reviews or articles on this particular rack (GGR, GGE, etc.), but I chose to go with this based on the fact that it was fairly modular and you have the option to expand on it in the future if you desire to do so. *I had a couple of quality issues, but Rogue customer service was quick to remedy them and I appreciated that I could pick up the phone and get someone on the other end. *small minor inconvenience - you really don't need instructions to put this together, but they do provide them. HOWEVER, they are in like size 0.5 font and almost completely useless.... but who cares because SHE'S BEAUTIFUL
