Rogue 45LB Ohio Power Bar - Stainless Steel

This is the premier power bar in the Rogue arsenal; equipped with a stainless steel shaft and sleeves for a superior feel and unmatched oxidation resistance.

The Stainless 45LB Ohio Power Bar is manufactured in Columbus, OH, and includes a zero-flex 200,000 PSI tensile strength shaft, quality bronze bushings, and 16.25” of loadable sleeve length.

All of our 29mm Ohio Power Bars also feature single powerlifting knurl marks and center knurling, machined in a pattern that’s deep and coarse without being sharp or abrasive. This makes the bar a perfectly honed workhorse for the bench, squat, and deadlift.

Available Sleeve Finishes: Chrome, Stainless Steel, Proprietary Matte Back

Note on Stainless Steel: Barbells made from raw steel are not plated and therefore marks from the machining process may be visible. Stainless steel shafts will show CNC processing marks. These are cosmetic and will not impact the barbell's performance

Please Note: Rogue recommends using a synthetic bristle brush, NOT a steel brush, to clean a stainless steel shaft. Steel on steel can cause rusting over time. See more tips here: Bar Care & Maintenance.

KEY FEATURES OF THIS OHIO POWER BAR

1

Stainless Steel

No finish offers better oxidation resistance than stainless steel, and this version of the Ohio Power Bar features a stainless shaft and the option for stainless sleeves. Stainless steel is low maintenance for gym owners, and eliminates worries about chipping or wearing down the finish on the bar’s sleeves. As noted, we recommend using a synthetic bristle brush, NOT a steel brush, to clean a stainless steel shaft.

200,000 PSI Tensile Strength

The Stainless Ohio Power Bar’s 29MM diameter steel shaft has a tensile strength of 200,000 PSI, delivering superior rigidity and virtually zero whip/flex. Machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio, the bar also features a snap-ring design and quality bronze bushings for a smooth, consistent feel.

3

Aggressive Knurl

The bar includes single powerlifting marks and a center knurl, each featuring a deep, coarse pattern that produces a reliable grip / stick without being sharp or abrasive. Perfecting this knurl pattern is both a science and an art. Every bar shaft is machined in Columbus on new Haas machines (built in the USA) and fine-tuned and personally tested by the Rogue team.

Lifetime Warranty

The quality construction of the Stainless Ohio Power Bar is backed by Rogue’s Lifetime Warranty against bending. This is a barbell equipped for high intensity, everyday use. Please Note: The warranty does not cover damage due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user, i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage. Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

F SCALE™

The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.

OXIDATION RATE

The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

Poor quality product - even worse customer service
The sleeves look worn out after the first use. I reached out to customer service and was told the following "We want you to be happy with the purchase since you are not happy with the original sleeves which is why we are offering for replacement sleeves to be sent as a courtesy. That being said, we are not seeing anything based off of the photos provided pointing toward a quality issue with the original bar and would be considered normal wear and tear." So they send you a defective product that does not appear as new from the first time you put high end Rogue plates on it and they claim they don't see anything wrong with it plus at best they want you to become a barbell do it yourself mechanic and replace sleeves yourself. The product was delivered on October 19, 2023 and about 10 days later when I had my first chance to use it, it was clear that I had been sent a bad product. I called Rogue on November 2nd, 2023. Thus according to Rogue representative, their products should not look new after first use or 2 weeks use at the most. I had purchased a lot of Rogue equipment over the years and I am very disappointed with this purchase and the way I was treated. I was going to fully equip my new home gym with Rogue racks on Black Friday, but knowing that they don't stand behind their products, I will have to look elsewhere.

We apologize for any negative experience you have had with our team or products. Typically the markings you are seeing on your proprietary matte black sleeves can be easily wiped off with a rag. We stand behind this bar and will continue to offer resolutions to get you a bar you are happy with.

Attn: Rogue Fitness
I purchased the Ohio power bar in black zinc. Product is as described and feels quite substantial. Some cosmetic blemishes but doesn't effect functionality and not worth describing. Rogue: do the right thing and allow reviews to be sorted from lowest to highest rating. It will earn you some cred. Jesus bless everyone.

Damaged
My barbell showed up damaged, with the end cap missing. After reporting this issue, Rogue has sent me a replacement end-cap to fix myself. A week later they sent along another piece they forgot to include initially. They assured me of the bar's integrity, however I expect more when paying nearly $300 for a barbell. I will be purchasing from Texas Power Bar or another reputable company in the future.

Beautiful blue cerakote
The blue cerakote Ohio power bar is beautiful! Inspires me to pick it up and use it. I’d have thought stainless is beautiful, too, I’m sure; meanwhile I’m glad I chose this. For me, the cerakoted knurling is ideal.

Best on the Market
This is the best power bar on the market. I’ve used the Ohio Power Bar in almost all the finish options for years in my powerlifting gym. The Knurling is aggressive enough for heavy lifts, but not so aggressive that it feels like a cheese grater in your hands. The E Coat finish looks and feels very nice. I think for the minimal price increase over bare steel, it’s certainly worth it. I noticed over 4 years of use (in a commercial powerlifting/strongman gym), the black zinc bars started to wear and am hoping the e-coat will be a little better. If money’s not a thing, I would go full stainless steel for a more aggressive grip and better corrosion resistance. However, I think this is way overkill for a home gym. I would rather save $100 and put the money towards other things.

Love the black e coat, looks great and matches the deep dish plates!
