1) What is a Boneyard Bar?

A Boneyard Bar is a brand new, seconds quality barbell off of Rogue’s standard production line. These bars may have minor cosmetic issues such as finish blemishes or inconsistencies with the knurl. If any flaw is found on a Rogue standard barbell, it is added to the Boneyard. These bars are guaranteed to arrive in new, ready to hit the gym condition.

2) Do all Boneyard Bars have finish blemishes?

No. A bar could have also been sent to the Boneyard for double tracked knurling (see below). Finish blemishes are more noticeable on Black Zinc or Black Oxide finishes.

Please note: Bars with a Cerakote finish may have some logo branding on the shaft due to testing our custom bar processes.

3) Do all Boneyard Bars have double tracked knurling?

No. Double tracked knurling is just one of the issues that can cause a bar to be sent to the boneyard. A small surface blemish could be the only fault. (See image below for double tracked knurl description)

4) Will my Boneyard Bar have a center knurl?

Please see the product page of the regular version.

5) Will my Boneyard Bar have dual knurl marks?

Please see the product page of the regular version.

6) Will Raw Steel rust?

A Raw Steel barbell will require some upkeep. Occasionally brushing the bar down with 3-in-1 oil or WD-40 will create a beautiful patina look. This is how bars were made for decades and it really does produce an unmatched feel.

7) Do Boneyard Bars carry a warranty

No. All Boneyard Bar sales are final.

8) Where can I find more information on each specific Bar?

All Boneyard Bars will have its standard name included in the product title. Please see that product's page for more information.

*Note: We do not specify the bushing type for Boneyard Bars

The Boneyard Bar you are purchasing can come with either composite or bronze bushings. You can check the regular page of the Boneyard Bar you are looking to purchase to determine if it normally includes composite bushings or not

1

NEEDLE BEARINGS

A set of needle bearings in each sleeve gives the T-5KG Tech Bar a uniquely smooth, consistent spin. Traditional technique barbells have rarely ever utilized this type of sleeve construction, and it introduces a high-end performance category into lightweight training.

2

REFINE YOUR FORM

A tech bar is most effective when it’s designed to prepare you for what’s next, whether you’re a young athlete using your first barbell, an amateur looking to safely practice your form, or an experienced lifter working your way back from an injury. The T-5KG is ideally suited for all these circumstances, offering a lightweight, manageable Olympic training bar with knurling and collar spacing accurate to IWF regulations.

3

ROGUE CONSTRUCTION - MADE IN THE USA

We now manufacture the T-5KG right here in Columbus, Ohio, using a lightweight but durable bare-aluminum construction. The shaft measures 25mm in diameter and 79.13” in length, while the bearing sleeves offer a loadable length of 12.5”. The single Oly knurl marks feature an exclusive Rogue pattern for a firm but non-abrasive hold.

4

A NEW TAKE ON TECH BARS

Rogue has long believed that our technique, beginner, and rehab bars should reflect the same level of quality and craftsmanship as any competition bar in our fleet. The T-5KG Tech Bar is part of a growing series of developmental bars we’re building in-house, including the T-2.5KG Tech Bar, T-10KG Tech Bar, 10KG Junior Bar, the Rogue War Bar, and more. Each has its own unique qualities and design specs to meet the specific needs of a wide range of athletes.

5

COMPATIBLE WITH MOST STANDARD BUMPER PLATES

The 1.96” sleeve diameter makes the T-5KG Tech Bar fully compatible with most standard size bumper plates, with a max load capacity topping out at 45 LBS, or 20 KG. This bar is NOT built for for loads in excess of that amount, and athletes are also advised against dropping the bar when loaded.
