This is hands down one of the best cable attachments i have ever used. The angles for the hands are the perfect angle and width. The bar is so solid, I think that was the most surprising. It is extremely versatile, I use it for underhand pull downs, the angled grip is perfect to make them more comfortable, the bar is wide enough to also do regular pull downs, tricep extensions and of course curls as well. I think it is well worth the price although it was hard to spend that much on a cable attachment I am glad I did.

I already owned a very nice curl bar for plates. But I decided to add this bar for a few reasons: 1. Slightly more aggressive angle. Even a small difference in bar bend can make a big difference in wrist and elbow tension for curls. This was the case for me--a significant improvement. 2. Speed of set-up. Cable changes are simply much faster than messing with plates on a standard EZ bar. This bar is extremely convenient. 3. Tricep work. You can't do tricep pushdowns with a plate-loaded EZ bar, but you can with this. I don't like EZ bars for skullcrushers. The bend isn't enough to spare wrist and elbow pain for me. I've been using another plate-loaded specialty bar with hand grips more conducive to skullcrusher movements, but even that (surprisingly) has begun causing me elbow issues. This bar, however, feels absolutely perfect for tricep pushdowns--the best I've ever felt. And roughly shoulder-width tricep movements (which this bar does) hit all three heads of the tricep better than any other single lift. I have other cable attachments that are better for narrow-grip pushdowns (for the outer head). Most gyms have lots of these. But it's rare to find a cable-attachment that allows shoulder grip (or even wider) pushdowns that feel so perfect. For me, that is reason enough to get this bar. And again, because it's a cable attachment, it's quick and convenient. 4. I already have very customized attachments for cable back lifts, which I would keep over this bar if I had to pick between them, but I must say this bar does add some new options for pulling motions that add value. I may come to like it more for this purpose as I experiment with it over time. And now for some general commentary. The bar definitely feels heftier than most cable attachments. I like that. Some may not. Bar thickness is less than some plate-loaded bars, but thicker than most cable attachments. It feels good. Continuous knurling is a plus, but it's not very aggressive. For being 3x the price of the main competitor, this could be a bit better. End caps are solid and have no give, which is great. Bad end caps are annoying. Carabiner is larger than most gym biners. Good wide opening. The bar did arrive with some minor cosmetic damage, and the bar was imbalanced. One side hung 3.5" below the other side. This would have been a deal-breaker for me, except that the swivel mechanism can be removed and centered (kind of a pain to get exactly right, but I eventually managed) . The swivel point is just steel sliding against a bronze ring. This is held in place by two large side rings secured by hex bolts (Allen bolts). Everything is just metal sliding against metal. For this reason, all of these rubbing parts really benefit from some lubrication. Rogue recommends common 3-in-1 oil, but I think something like Super Lube 21030 synthetic grease is better and lasts longer. It seems like a real oversight to not pre-lube these parts as this is probably the most common source of complaints--noise and jerky movements. But once lubed properly, the motion is buttery smooth. You must understand how important that smooth swivel is, especially as you go heavy. It preserves perfect ergonomics from the top of the lift to the bottom without adjusting hand position. Most cable attachments lack such a swivel and generate awkward pressures at one end of the lift. Not so here. Whatever your hands want to do, the smooth swivel motions lets them without a fight. Back to the cosmetic damage and imbalance issues. I brought these to Rogue's attention (with pics) and they quickly addressed the issue, presented options, and made it right. Thanks, Rogue.

Absolutely the most versatile and well made curl bar attachment I’ve ever owned. Everyone at my gym has requested the chance to try it out, but it’s mine and I don’t share.

I have the Rogue rackable curl bar, but also wanted a curl bar to use with cable to do preacher curls. This curl bar has excellent knurling and feels great in the hands. Very solid and heavy duty construction. One issue I had was the part that attaches to the cable was not ground smooth after fabrication and it left an edge sharp enough to cut your skin. I disassembled the swivel and filed it to make it smooth. Then repainted and reassembled. Added grease to the bearing when I reassembled. Works very well to target the biceps. Operation is smooth and silent.

I bought this about two months ago with a large order. It squeeks badly and has from the start. For some reason it sounds like metal on metal, instead of internal bearings
