Rogue Ohio Power Bar

Fully machined and assembled in Columbus, OH, the 29MM Rogue Ohio Power Bar features a 205,000 PSI steel shaft (200,000 PSI for Stainless), single powerlifting knurl marks, and center knurling. The bar’s knurl pattern is deep and coarse without being sharp or abrasive, and the 29MM shaft diameter and high tensile strength result in little to no flex or whip. This makes the Ohio Power Bar a perfectly honed workhorse for the bench, squat, and deadlift.

The 45LB Ohio Power Bar includes bronze bushings, a snap ring design, and 16.25" of loadable sleeve length.

When ordering, you can select from three finish options:

  • Black Zinc shaft with Bright Zinc sleeves
  • Stainless Steel shaft with Chrome sleeves
  • Bare Steel

Rogue also manufactures a 20KG Ohio Power Bar, with friction-welded sleeves and 16.25" loadable sleeve space.

Specifications:

  • Made in Columbus, OH, USA
  • More aggressive knurling for powerlifting
  • Center knurl for added “stick” to the back during squats
  • 29MM Diameter and 205,000 PSI tensile strength (200,000 for Stainless) for greater rigidity and reduced whip
  • Bronze Bushings and Snap Ring Design for smooth spin
  • Weight: 45LB
  • Finish Options: Black Zinc Shaft / Bright Zinc Sleeves, Stainless Shaft / Chrome Sleeves, or Bare Steel
  • Lifetime Warranty against bending*
  • 1205,000 PSI Steel (200,000 PSI For Stainless)

The Ohio Power Bar’s 29MM diameter steel shaft boasts a tensile strength of 205,000 PSI (200,000 PSI for Stainless), delivering superior rigidity and virtually zero whip/flex. Machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio, the bar also features a snap-ring design and quality bronze bushings for a smooth, consistent feel.

  • 2Aggressive Knurl

The bar includes single powerlifting marks and a center knurl, each featuring a deep, coarse pattern that produces a reliable grip / stick without being sharp or abrasive. Perfecting this knurl pattern is both a science and an art. Every bar shaft is machined in Columbus on new Haas machines (built in the USA) and fine-tuned and personally tested by the Rogue team.

  • 3Three Finish Options

Depending on the look and feel you prefer, there is a version of the Ohio Power Bar right in your wheelhouse. The Zinc option (black shaft, bright sleeves) provides excellent corrosion resistance, the Bare Steel creates a classic look and natural feel, and the new Stainless Steel variation (with Chrome sleeves) strikes a balance between the two. • 4Use It With These Other Rogue Products

Ohio Power Bar owners can use this barbell in conjunction with a broad range of other top caliber Rogue powerlifting products, from the Westside Bench and R-3 Power Rack to deadlift bar jacks, Wagon Wheel plates, and Calibrated Steel Plates.

  • 5Lifetime Warranty

The Ohio Power Bar’s quality construction is backed by Rogue’s Lifetime Warranty against bending. This is a barbell equipped for high intensity, everyday use. Please Note: The warranty does not cover damage due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user, i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage. Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

  • 6Fast Rogue Shipping

Orders placed by 3PM ship the same day. The Rogue Shipping System allows you to track your order from the time you place it to the time it hits your door. Order today, track today.

Please Note: Like any fine piece of machined steel, a bare steel barbell will require some upkeep. Occasionally brushing the bar down with 3-in-1 oil or WD-40 will create a beautiful patina look. This is how bars were made for decades and it really does produce an unmatched feel.

F Scale™
The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.

Oxidation Rate
The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.

Rogue Ohio Power Bar is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 338.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be The Mountain This bar has amazing grip and the center knurl is a must for me! The smaller lip on the sleeves allows for more weight on the bar. That combined with the rogue echo bumpers gives room to spare even with 495 on the bar!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent. Lives up to Rogue reputation I replaced a pretty good bar with this one, based on a recommendation from my son. This one turns out to be great. Little to no flex, and the knurling makes a demonstrable difference for lifts where grip is key. Packaging was also very good. The tube was visibly banged up in transit. But the bar didn’t have a scratch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Powerlifting Bar at a great price! Wanted a great bar for my Powerlifting gym and didn't want to spend a ton. This bar was perfect for all my powerlifting members. They love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good bar The bars at the gym were subpar so I purchased this one since it was IPF approved. Despite being a bigger circumference it was still easier to hang on to deadlifting

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough bar I own 5 of these along with a 45 lb one. These hold up very well and are super tough. For the price, it's really hard to beat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bar! I am 42 years old and have been lifting weights in some fashion since high school. Over the past 3 years, with the help of Starting Strength and podcasts like Barbell Logic and the Strong Life with Zach Even-Esh, I have been able to take lifting a little more serious than just having random workouts. I workout in the garage and have been lifting with a beat up CAP bar and weights that I got off an old power lifter on Craigslist. The bar has absolutely no knurl, but I didn't know any better so I used it for about two years. Recently I decided to start upgrading some of my equipment since this has become such an important part of my life. I started with the barbell. I meticulously researched barbells for a couple of weeks and finally decided on the Ohio Power Bar with the bare steel finish. It was such a great decision. I ordered it on a Tuesday night and it was in my hands on Friday afternoon. The customer service at Rogue is extraordinary. The bar is beautiful. Sometimes I just pop the door open to the garage just to take a look at it lol! I cannot pass by it without touching the knurl because it is perfect! It is like night and day compared to my other bar and it is worth every penny! It has also cleared up some wrist pain that I was dealing with on heavy benches. I am pretty sure that it is because I am actually able to get a secure grip on the bar now. The knurl is aggressive, but it does not cut up your hands. I feel like the bar is glued on my back during the squat and my grip on the deadlift has improved dramatically as well. If you are still deciding, my advice would be to pull the trigger, I do not think that you will regret it!
