Protective Urethane Coating

By wrapping the bell portion of these KBs with a rubber exterior coat, we’re giving gym owners a way to prevent many of the scuffs, chips, and other damages that can tarnish the finish and appearance of a traditional kettlebell. Across all weight increments, this durable urethane coating creates a smooth black surface, with the handle left uncovered for an overall feel no different than our standard Rogue Kettlebells.

Natural Feel

Texture matters. A well formed, balanced, and properly textured kettlebell feels better in the hand and performs better in motion. The handle of each Rogue Kettlebell is textured to hold chalk well, but with enough grip to be used without. The powdercoat finish, combined with the urethane coat on the bell, helps a Rogue KB feel comfortable in the hand or against the forearm in the rack position without being too rough.

Quality Construction

Rogue Kettlebells are manufactured from first-run iron ore (not scrap, like many KBs on the market) and go through a single-piece, proprietary casting process. This creates a stronger, more reliable handle and a void-free surface. The Rogue Kettlebell does not use plastic caps, plugs, or patches like lower quality products. The base of each kettlebell is machined flat (rather than leaving it as a raw casting) so it sits perfectly on the floor and does not wobble. You can tell the difference as soon as you pick one up.

A Foundation for Functional Training

Kettlebells work muscles you didn’t even know you had. A set of Rubber Coated Kettlebells, an AbMat, a pair of Rogue Wood Rings, and an SR-1 Speed Rope are a great way to start building out a garage gym. You can also check out our Competition KG Kettlebells, which feature uniform diameters and handle widths across every increment, from 8KG to 48KG.

Color-Coded Handles

All of our kettlebells feature color-coded handles for easy recognition at a glance, along with a matte black, powder coat finish. Powder coat is more durable and the texture feels more natural than an epoxy or painted finish.

Love These Rubber Coated KBs
I'd bought 2 of each of the rubber coated kettlebells and have been using them for the past 2+ yrs. I also have the Rogue storage shelves and the rubber coating helps to keep the shelves from having the matte black paint from scratching or chipping. The only compliant I have is why no 62lb rubber coated KB? I bought the regular 62lb KB from Rogue and it has scratched the shelves a bit. I've asked Rogue customer service about it and all they tell me is that there is no 62 lb rubber coated KB.

Super high quality!!
Love it!! Super high quality build and the coating protects my wood floors and car when I’m driving! Handles are a little thick for my hand size but it’s not a deal breaker

Superbly comfortable grip and awesome quality
I have all the Rogue rubber kettlebells except the 26lb option. I’ve doubled up on the 53lbs as that’s the weight I use most. These are not cheap kettlebells, and I initially balked at the cost, but I’ve been so impressed with how comfortable they are to use and the quality of their construction. I’ve become a big believer in Pavel Tsatsouline’s strength training principles, and am getting more and more into kettlebell training, which is better for you as you age, I think. These are perfect, and far more forgiving on my basement floor than non-rubberized alternatives.

My urethane coated babies!
Absolutely love these. Only 2 issues but not enough to take a star away. 1, why no 62 lb version (or 18lb) ? I had to buy the non coated versions to make a full set. 2. Yucky smell but take rubbing alcohol and wipe a few times until paper towels come up clean. Smell gone unless you put your nose up to it so not bad. On the garage floor it would be better moisture resistance wise to own these vs cast iron. Walking past with wet shoes really isn't a concern with this version of kettlebells. Only the handles are bare and they should never really scuff. When re-racking weights is when most damage occurs. These actually bounce when smacked together with no visible damage don't ask me how I know that ;-) Lastly that amazing grip the urethane affords! I do chest presses with these and gripping the rubber coating is awesome. Lastly, for us garage gym junkies, on a cold morning racking and handling a coated bell feels way better than bare ICE iron! 5 stars, worth the $ now only improvement would be make more weight increments!
