The S Series Squat Stand Sets the New Standard

Standing 72" high with a 48" x 48" footprint, the American-made S-1 Squat Stand is a space-efficient unit that gives up nothing in quality. As with the entire Rogue S-Series, we’ve designed the S-1 for both durability and ease-of-use, starting with 2x3" 11-Gauge steel uprights, Westside hole spacing, and J-cups with protective UHMW plastic liners. Tested at a weight capacity topping 1,000LB, the latest model of the S-1 also includes an updated base that replaces the formed socket with the same bolted triangle plates used on our Monster Lite squat stands, improving the overall stability of the unit.

Because it’s the smallest and most practical of the S Series squat stands, the S-1 does not have pull-up bar holes. Its unique versatility, however, still makes it an all-in-one work station for squats, bench, clean pulls, floor press, overhead press, and much more. The S-1 is also compatible with a wide range of 2x3" accessories, including the Safety Spotter Arms, and Rogue Landmines.

Check out the sidebar on the right to order the S-1 individually or as part of a custom package with a bench, bar, plates, etc. To explore a larger S-Series squat rack with pull-up bar options, try the Rogue S-2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Squatting Bought this squat stand and I gotta say I can definitely squat with it. I can even bench and OHP. Very sturdy. Only complaint is I didn't get any hardware, no bolts or nuts arrived with it but wasn't a huge deal only needed 12 bolts so quick run to hardware store

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BLOWS THE COMPETITION AWAY! The quality of the build is undeniable and assembly was a piece of cake. This squat stand is incredibly stable with very secure connections. The finish on the steel is flawless and I love the ROGUE brand tags, not too much. This was a great investment in my body and brain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid with small footprint My basement couldn't accommodate a full-height squat stand or rack, so I went with the S-1. I'm still not sure if I would have gone with a 3x3 rack vs. the S-1's 2x3 pillar dimensions had the other models been available at the time. That being said, I'm very happy with the S-1. I'm more than certain that with it's 1,000 lb.+ rating, I will be just fine with this forever. As others have said, the 2x3 pillars do give you a little extra room when re-racking and the floor width doesn't extend past 4 feet which might be important to some if they want to fit it completely on a 4x8 piece of plywood. Now let's get some Infinity spotter arms in stock, Rogue!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review of Rogue S-1 Squat Stand 2.0 I deliberated for months over whether to buy the Rogue S-1 or the SML-1 squat stand with associated safety bars. Price really wasn’t the biggest consideration given the difference was only ~$50; but space was. Like so many others, I work out in my basement. My unwillingness to bolt anything into my floors along with low ceilings and limited space, ruled out all power racks and even tall squat stands with pull up bars. I wanted the strongest squat stand that would take up the least amount of space while being light enough to be moved around. I could have gone either way, but what finally hit me was the width. The S-1 is 48” wide vs the SML-1 is 49” wide. Big deal, right? Actually, yes. 1. My old Olympic bar has a 51” shaft. A 49” squat stand gives me only 1 inch of leeway on each side while re-racking the bar after a lift. I am completely confident that the S-1’s 11-gauge 2x3 steel uprights are amply strong enough for any lifts I could reasonably conceive of (the rack is rated up to 1000lbs). My concern was avoiding a situation where I find myself struggling to align the bar to the J-cups after an intensely heavy lift. 2. I needed the ability to easily move the squat stand around my basement so I can store the stand with my other weights in a corner when they’re not in use. With a bit of effort, this squat stand slides around OK, but it leaves paint stains when you do. So, I bought some furniture sliders from Home Depot and now sliding the rack back into place is easy. With regards to the quality of the rack itself, it’s excellent. In addition to the impressive 2x3 11-gauge thick steel, what struck me was the enormous 5/8” bolts. These things are enormous. Photos don’t do justice. Speaking of bolts, I did have an issue where the box was broken when I received it. When I unpacked it, everything was there except for a couple of the bolts. I contacted Rogue and they sent me replacement bolts, no fuss, no muss. I now realize that you’re not just buying a product, you’re buying the company who stands behind their product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great rack, but small cosmetic flaws Bought this a couple months ago and have been using it since (5 times a week) for heavy squatting and benching. It's really sturdy and definitely worth it for the price. However, it did come with small cosmetic issues, such as small areas with chipping on the powder coat, as well as some some incomplete cutting on the uprights. Other than the slight cosmetic issues, the rack does its job and I could not have asked for anything more from Rogue. Definitely a great value.
