Rogue SML-2C Squat Stand

Now available in a wide spectrum of custom colors, the SML-2C Monster Lite Squat Stand delivers much of the strength and versatility of a power rack in an efficient, compact frame. Featuring 3x3" 11-gauge steel uprights, an adjustable fat/skinny pull-up bar, and 0.625" holes in the Westside spacing pattern, it’s an affordable hybrid of Rogue’s S-2 and Monster SM-2 squat stands.

The American-made SML-2C is equally equipped for squats, bench, pull-ups, clean pulls, floor press, and more, with a bolt-together, triangle-plate base designed for maximum stability. For these exclusive colorized racks, we’ve also introduced a new MG Satin Black finish on the base, along with black zinc hardware throughout.

*The satin clear finish is a transparent finish. This will show any blemishes or marks from the manufacturing process that are present in the steel.

Rogue SML-2C Squat Stand is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 243.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great I brought this for my small appartment. It fits my eight foot ceiling. It's rock solid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid as a rock I was concerned that this squat stand may be a bit wobbly with heavier weights or when I do pull-ups (I'm 250 lbs so not super light). I bought the back pegs to store weights on for added stability but that has been unnecessary. This is rock solid and doesn't sway at all. A great product. I put it together myself with no problems so their online video with two people is a bit misleading. My only complaint is that there is no numbering on the peg holes. Other than that great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, Sturdy, Very Well Built With a small footprint, this Squat Stand was far more solid than I imagined! Perfect for my home gym, I couldn't be more impressed, by far an excellent investment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great so far. I am very pleased with this rack. It is well made and was easy to assemble. Works well for a garage gym with little space. You can easily move it around when your not using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sml 2 Bought this a few months back, very pleased. Easy to assemble and very sturdy. I can bench and squat without it being bolted to the ground. Would highly suggest for those of you who are cramped for space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect, Amazing, and Sturdy! If you're on the fence about this unit, just get it. I was a bit worried because of my small gym space (11.5' x 8' of usable gym space), but it fits perfectly with the rest of my equipment. I just wish I had gotten it sooner! I bought this a month ago to replace my TrapezeRigging free-standing pull-up bar to have a sturdier and more versatile set-up in a relatively small room (11.5' x 8' of usable gym space). Boy did the SML-2C not disappoint, and this review is before I've even used my barbell with it! The SML-2C feels solid as a tank! As a preface, I bought the Monster Lite Short Plate Storage Post Pair and put them on the bottom of each vertical post with two 45s on each side. Side-to-side pull-ups feel very secure and I don't feel any rocking front to back when doing regular pull-ups. The fat/skiny bar (fat end down) is great! The bar is just the right diameter so that I can use my NewGrip Power Pads without the bar feeling too fat. The stand was easy to put together and fits comfortably in a room with 8' ceilings, even with almost an inch of rubber flooring underneath. And it's compact! I have it in the middle of the long wall in my 11.5' by 8' gym space less than 6" (estimated) from the wall, and have room left for my bench to the right with a wire shelving unit and my Power Blocks next to it, and my Olympic weight stand to the left with my shrug bar in front of the weight stand. Both safety arms are stored on the right post when not being actively used so as not to interfere with dead-lifts/squats with the shrug bar. Also, the attachments you can use with the SML-2C make it extremely versatile. You can't use Rogue's Neutral Grips (they won't fit over the fat bar if on top, and the back of the horizontal pipe contacts the fat bar if on bottom), but you can use those from Titan Fitness (I only go to them if there's not a Rogue option). The Rogue Monster Lite Kids Pull-up Bar is great and has been fun and easy to use with my kids. I got the two-piece Titan Fitness X-3 Dip Bar (Rogue doesn't have an equivalent, and the Rogue Matador isn't ideal and might not even work for my purposes since I like to do leg raises with my dips unless they are weighted), which fits perfectly. This allowed me to get rid of my Ultimate Body Press, which makes for less clutter and sturdier dips. Another important thing to note is that I can leave all the attachments except the Kids Pull-up Bar attached to the stand without interfering with pull-ups or needing to be moved to use the Kids Pull-up Bar. This includes both safety arms (one on top of the other on the same post), the Titan X-3 Dip Bar (each piece turned 90 degrees from normal use), and the J-cups. And for those who care, I got the blue color (picked by my wife and kids) and it looks amazing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not that impressive for Powerlifting/Price After owning this setup for 2 years Im ready for a solid review. Biggest Pet-peeves: 1. Without bolting it onto the floor it rocks and moves out of place way too much. This stand doesn't weight that much, I am able to pick it up (fully assembled) and move it around the garage, so its no surprise when I un-rack/rack on bench or squat it moves around. 2. Placing in the spotter arms and adjusting them is always a pain in the rear. There are only SPECIFIC holes that align both the top part and the bottom, without marking your rack its pretty much a guessing game. 3. Wide grip pullups with the fat/skinny bar are awkward. In my case, the skinny bar is on top and the fat on bottom. Chin ups with the fat bar is fine, however, pull ups with the top bar causes my forearms to be locked into a perfectly vertical position and causes some strain on my shoulder (doesn't occur if i wide grip on the lower/fat bar) 4. After adding the spotter arms, half rack setup, foot mounts, you pretty much could've just purchased a regular power rack. (in my case, I wanted something more open for overhead press + power-cleans with limited space. Pros: 1. So far it has been tested for usage over the course of a few years. I hasn't bent or broke. 2. No Rust. 3. Easy to clean
