Sling Shot Hip Circle

The Sling Shot Hip Circle is used to activate muscles around the hips and glutes in order to improve technique and get you stronger, faster. The band adds resistance to strengthen hip abductors and external rotators, keeping the knees pushed out during squats and deadlifts.

You can also use the band to warm-up before starting your workouts. Slip the band over both legs and take long strides to warm-up your legs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too weak I bought this hoping it would be a challenge well that was wishful thinking. I'm 6'1 235lbs I squat 405 and above. I think for bodybuilders and anyone advanced would find that this is useless. It's too wide it needs to be tighter for the right amount of resistance.The black SKLZ Mini band feels tighter and better. I also bought the sling shot 2.0 same thing.. Too wide and easy as heck. Save your money and keep searching for that right band.

I do side steps, monster walks, seated abductons, hip thrusts, and glute bridges with this and my glutes are immediately on fire every time. In terms of sizing - I originally bought the M because a lot of girls my weight said it worked for them and it seemed weird that I would use the same as a man who is 280 pounds BUT I had to return it and get the large because it barely fit over my thighs. For reference i am about 147 pounds, 41 inch hips and 24 inch thighs. The large felt snug when I bought it but stretched out over he first week and is now perfect. Anyway it's a great prouduct for glute warmups, burnouts, and supersets with heavier work and has really helped keep my knees out during squats!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beware of size Wasn't sure how the size: medium/large/extra L was related to the users weight. I ordered all three hoping it had something to do with resistance i.e. large was harder than medium but easier than extra L. It's not user's weight but circumference. xtra large is "bigger" than medium. Like comparing a 40" waist to a 29" waist. I could barely get both legs into the medium. To find your size I'd recommend putting your legs together, measuring around them, then use the closest measurement to this: Medium: 27.25 inches Large: 30.5 inches XL: 34 inches Other than the size issue and having to return a pair, they work well so far. I am a therapist and have used wide Thera-band before. I like the different resistances it provides, but the knot tying was a pain, it curled up, and frequently ripped. This is not adjustable in length or resistance but looks like it will hold up well and not curl up. Would love it if they had graded resistances, or at least one in each direction (easier/harder) to use in my therapy practice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! This has been great for my form. I had a lot of knee issues, and it was all due to my glutes not being strong. So, after a lot of PT, and strengthening my glutes, i got this after reading up on someone's FB page. She used it, and i thought i'd give it a try. well, my squat form is a lot better, it keeps me aware of where the knees need to go! it really activates the glutes! i use it mainly for squatting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Add this to your mobility arsenal Got this last week and use it regular as part of my lower body mobility workout. I have used bands and theramed bands before - but in the end they are uncomfortable and require knotting which is a pain. This just says put and is comfortable in use. Overall another great product from slingshot

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mobility/warm-up tool I bought this about a year ago and it has held up great - I use it probably about 3-4x a week... I find it great to use prior to doing any lower body workout - especially before squat and deadlifting. It fits comfortably and doesn't "fold in" or "roll up" like cheaper rubber/synthetic bands.
