WHAT SETS THE CERAKOTE FINISH OHIO BAR APART:

Cerakote Strength + Custom Colors
This version of the Ohio Bar is distinct for its use of an advanced ceramic-based coating, originally established in the gun industry for its remarkable durability in thin applications. This unique finish can deliver superb abrasion/wear/corrosion resistance over time—100X that of standard black zinc—and it’s available to order in a range of exclusive colors, with the Rogue logo branded on the center of the shaft. Steel
This steel is manufactured in the US and has proven to be one of the best steel variants for a multi-purpose barbell.
Each barbell shaft is ground and polished prior to machining which allows the bar to have a very smooth finish.

Machining & Assembly
Every bar shaft is machined in Columbus, Ohio, with painstaking attention to detail. The knurling has been carefully refined over the years, as well, for a firm but non-abrasive grip (there is no center knurl). We assemble the Ohio Bar with a snap ring design and quality composite bushings, which act as bearing surfaces between the bar sleeve and bar shaft, producing normal “whip” during Oly weightlifting but enough stiffness to hold for heavy powerlifting.
F SCALE™
The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.
OXIDATION RATE
The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.
*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.
Please Note: Cerakote has an excellent resistance to corrosion, but metal-to-metal contact, particular on the sleeves, can still cause wear over time. For the best long term results, some cleaning and maintenance may be required. See our Ohio Bar Care Page for more info.

If you are a true "powerlifter" and load 500+ lbs on a bar then get the Ohio Power Bar, otherwise this is the way to go! The knurling is EXACTLY what you want and offers plenty of grip even without chalk. Love that there is no center knurling and still grips just fine for back squats. I went with the black e-coat. You wont regret it. It has replaced my Ohio Power bar for good.

It’s awesome. I’m new to barbells so I don’t know if it’s normal but I had to get used to the bit of play on the bar bushings before you feel the weight of the plates. The grip pattern is excellent for grip, obviously.

Bought this as an upgrade over an economy bar I had and glad I did. Does the bar make a difference? It absolutely does. If you are reading reviews to evaluate if the cost is justified, it is. In my opinion, knurling feels mild and is fine as I wear gloves with a wrist wrap. I measured diameter at 28.9mm at the knurling, not a complaint just thought I’d pass it along.

Best all around bar, period.
This bar is awesome. I got the Stainless Steel shaft. I use it for CrossFit (w/ Olympic lifting) daily. The knurling is hands down the best I have ever felt. It is very “grippy” due to the dense, tight pattern of the knurling, but it doesn’t cut. It gives the benefits of an aggressive knurl pattern without making you pay the price with torn up hands. Stainless Steel gives the best feel and is definitely the way to go. The bushing bearings provide plenty of spin for Oly lifts under most circumstances.

Purchased a second Ohio BB, this one SS (shaft and collars) Ghost 2.0 roller J-Cup, the slice sled and some other accessory items. Rogue is not cheap, but in my opinion their quality is second to none. I thoroughly enjoy all my Rogue equipment, in my 2 1/2 years as a customer I have experienced zero issues. @rogue, I have a bunch of stuff in my cart right now, I’d love to get a free shipping code =)

I made the decision to upgrade to this bar after using a cheap one from Dicks Sporting Goods for years and not realizing the difference a good bar makes.. After one workout in a friends home gym with a Rogue bar, I was made well aware of the difference and purchased one of my own the very next day!
