Westside Dual Pendulum Reverse Hyper

"I do hypers before and after I squat or deadlift." - Louie Simmons

The plate-loaded Dual Pendulum Reverse Hyper machine, by Westside Barbell and Louie Simmons, enables athletes to train each leg independently OR to convert the unit into a single pendulum to train both legs at once. Made in the USA from heavy-gauge steel and weighing in at over 350 LBS, this is a professional-grade Reverse Hyper tested by some of the elite strength athletes in the world.

Reverse Hypers are extremely effective for building strength through flexion and range of motion; not only in the hamstrings, glutes, and hips, but in the lower back and spinal erectors. It can also be invaluable to athletes rehabbing from a back injury or dealing with regular back pain / tightness / bulging disc. The versatility of the Westside machine makes it more dynamic than some similar units. This includes an adjustable padded tabletop, which offers 15 degrees of “tilt” both down and up. In the UP position, the user can place greater emphasis on the lower back and erectors while still recruiting the glutes, hamstrings, and abdominals into the movement. By tilting the back of the platform down, meanwhile, you can shift gears and put the glutes and hamstrings into the primary mover position.

Retention pins are included to make it easy to quickly change from the single to dual pendulum set-up.
