This is much more expensive than the competition but it really is worth it. I’ve had a Titan log, and a generic log from eBay. Both got the job done but this rogue is the best by far. Only downside is you need axle collars, but that’s common for a lot of other logs too.

I picked this up after my previous log became too light for even warm ups and I needed to graduate to a 12". I'm very happy with the craftsmanship and feels really solid. I was not a fan of competitor designs worrying about being "rackable and adding a little less stability in my opinion and I like that the plates can be flush with the log. Happy with the purchase.

I love this log. Due to personal limitations, I have been unable to go to a commercial gym for a few years but I have other barbells and equipment, along with this log, that I use for shoulder workouts but this log is the only way I can do seated calf raises, using the Rogue Single Squat wedge. I had tried fat / axle bars for seated calf raises but they dug into my thighs so badly that I couldn't increase the weight without suffering excruciating pain. This 12" log reduces the contact pressure so much that it felt like the next best thing to using a dedicated seated calf raise machine with pads. One complaint I have is the insufficient packaging. This 12" log was shipped to me, a US customer, through freight delivery. When I took delivery and helped unload it from the truck the outside of the packaging & crate showed no damage but when I took the log out of the carboard box that this came in, I noticed that the corrugated sides of the box rubbed off some of the paint on the log. Although this would certainly not affect the functionality of the log, it was disappointing to see the worn marks on the log even before I got to use it. There was no Styrofoam or plastic bag to protect the finish of the log. I was comparing this minimal packaging to the extensive packaging that the Rogue Monster Kettlebells had, that were also shipped by freight delivery. My 150 lb & 200 lb Kettlebells came in 3 Heavy-Duty cardboard boxes, nested one inside the next, with the Kettlebells, wrapped in plastic bags and surrounded by molded Styrofoam. For one of those pairs, due to some improper handling by the trucking company, the box broke through the crate, when I took delivery, but there was not even a scratch on the kettlebells, owing to the extensive packaging.

This log feels great during cleans and presses. I was hoping to find a log with knurling on the handles, but it isn't needed. The coating on this log holds chalk well. I bought GOAT tape thinking I would need to wrap the handles and the center of the log, but it is not necessary. I use a grip shirt for most of my training sessions and magnesium carbonate based chalk, and never have issues of it sliding or feeling awkward during the clean.

I look forward to everyday that I get to use my new log bar. My overhead max has been improving every week since I bought it. It's comfortable, solid and I think the delivery was fairly quick considering COVID, I ordered around the holidays and I'm from another country. I hope Rogue sets up another location in Canada someday soon.

It’s much different than a normal bar I come from an Olympic Weightlifting background and it doesn’t help here it requires patience on the press or you’ll lose your balance and I would recommend crash mats for it and it is good for low roof gyms as well as long as you use 10kg or 25lb plates because the bar is a drop smaller as you can see in the picture

Best log I have ever used. the texturing of the log allowed me to add 90 pounds to my log clean. having a log that weighs 135 unloaded is also awesome because it makes for quick and easy math for jumps
