Rogue Stubby Axle

Rogue Stubby Axle

Deceptively Simple Grip Training

Featuring the same over-sized 1.9” outside diameter as the standard Rogue Axle, the Stubby Axle is two feet shorter (5’ vs. 7’)—with 8” of loadable sleeve length and a condensed 43” between the collars. This creates a challenging, change-of-pace fat bar, and another excellent option for building better wrist and grip strength without deviating much from your regular lifting regimen.

The Rogue Stubby Axle has been battle tested in competition at the Reebok CrossFit Games, and includes our signature black powder coat finish for a firm, comfortable grip.

IMPORTANT: Some standard barbell collars may not work on this specialty bar. We recommend using either the Rogue HG Axle Collars or the OSO Axle Collars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice This is often a good option to a full width Olympic bar. The good: Smoother to use in areas with limited space. Option to start with only 10kg apposed to a standard olympic bars 20kg. Much thicker grip diameter promoting more muscle growth and spare the skin on your hands. Semi smooth painted surface gives good grip and also spare the skin on your hands. The not so good: No marks on bar so I put some contrasting scotch tape in center and sides. The bar came damaged cased by poor protective packing. This was mostly esthetics though, but non the less un unnecessary flaw. This application did not allow me to upload photos...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bang for the buck! For $95, this is an awesome accessory. There are no frills, just simple and effective. I use it a a fun change of pace for barbell complexes to blast the grip strength

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bar Love the coating, can't go wrong with this bar. Olympic plates have a little room on the bar, but I don't mind considering the simplicity, price, and functionality of this bar. Plus, in my small town house, it fits very conveniently under the couch!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great length, bar too large for small hands I really like the length of this bar for my smaller gym space. However, I've got small hands and the 2" width of the bar did not step down for the hand grip area, I could not make a confident grip on the bar when loaded. Overall, the length is great, the workmanship looked really good, and the lighter 20 lb allowed a lot of options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile I’ve got small hands so using this so difficult for me. But it hasn’t stopped me from doing pressed and snatches and farmers carry and holds and cleans. The prices makes it easy to add two to my bar collection. Note, it’s got a pretty rough finish.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awesome Bar, Annoying Sticker The bar is great, sturdy, easy to handle. Awesome for grip work, odd object work, and will smash your forearms. One other fun tool to keep thing entertaining. Really though, why did you not center the sticker rogue? Seems like such an easy thing to do, and on a bar with no center knurling or grip marks lining up easily and evenly is imperative.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great addition for grip strength Stubby axle isn't anything fancy which is a good thing. Simply a pipe with some collars welded to hold plates. Finish is a black powdercoat same to match our Rogue rack. Only area of improvement would be the Rogue sticker is a little cheap and something I see coming off. Remember to get axle sized collars. We paired with the OSO collars and they work great.
