Rogue MG-2 Multi-Grip Bars

Rogue’s fully welded MG-2 Multi-Grip Bars go beyond the typical Swiss bar or football barbell, offering a uniquely angled, two-way neutral grip design and compatibility with most standard power racks and Olympic plates. Whether you’re looking to reduce stress on the wrists and shoulders during press movements or to target your triceps for better lockouts, these bars enable an athlete to experiment with different approaches and develop more dynamic lifting programs.

There are currently two different models of the MG-2. The hexagonal, 82” MG-23 is an adaptation of our original MG-1 Heavy Duty Multi Grip Bar 2.0, and includes six angled handles (1-1/4” in diameter) spaced at 6-1/2”, 14-1/2”, and 22-1/2”. This gives the athlete three distinct grips to choose from—with a close grip emphasizing the triceps and a wide grip targeting the pectoral muscles. The Multi-Grip Bar can also be turned 180 degrees (with the Rogue logo upside down) to reverse the angle of the handles for curls or an “elbows-in” bench press.

The rectangular MG-24 Bar is roughly the same total length as the MG-23, but includes two additional handles (all at the same angle), with spacing options at 6”, 14”, 22”, and 30”. Like the MG-23, it can be rotated for elbows-in, triceps-focused training.

Both MG-2 Multi-Grip Bars are finished in our Rogue signature black powder coat. Please note that any metal-to-metal contact with the coated sleeves (such as adding and/or removing plates) may cause wear on the finish over time.

Important: For Collars that fit specialty bars like the MG-2, please see the Rogue HG Axle Collars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Quality Addition To Home Gym I used this MG-24 yesterday for my first workout and it was awesome. Did bench press and ultimately worked up to about 30 - 40 lbs. less than I would use with standard barbell. Since it was the first time using the bar I didn't want to overdo it. My first Rogue product and it is extremely well built with great welds and ergonomics. The handles are not knurled which I didn't find to be any problem for me. The handles are quite a bit thicker than a standard barbell and felt just perfect in my hands. The neutral grip bench seemed to give me a great pump and looked like it targeted the upper pecs more than a standard bench. Overall, have to say this is a way more comfortable way for me to bench and the bar just feels "right" in my hands. I wish I had bought it earlier but the cost always put me off. Now that I see the quality for myself I can see why others outfit their home gyms with Rogue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big help I bought this to force me to use better form for bench & Ali I ate stress on my shoulder, & I have found it is a great way to do neutral grip pull ups. This is a great help for older lifters like me (60 years old)-quality product & arrived quickly-I highly recommend this to all lifters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting bar. Not what I expected. Lifelong user of a traditional Olympic straight bar here. This bar is comfortable to push. It seems to add more stress to my deltoids than my pecs. After completing a strenuous workout, my shoulders were sore, not my pecs. I actually hurt my shoulder using the bar which was more of a strain than a tear. I will admit it was probably my error but I was only doing a normal bench press with my typical workout weight. I wish I would have gotten the knurled handles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic pressing pump Love this bar, use it at the end of my chest workouts. Using light to moderate weight I start at the closest grips and work my way out, typically targeting 15-20 total reps. Works for curls and tricep extensions too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All purpose product I've found a number of uses for my new Multi Grip Bar! It's not just for pressing, although this bar has enabled me to perform the Chest Press again despite my shoulder issues. Highly recommend this bar for anyone with shoulder issues wanting to continue to bench press! Additionally, this bar is great for front squats, bent rows and hammer curls. The quality is superb. All of my clients love using the Multi Grip Bar during their workouts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bar Great bar and gets you awesome pumps. I only suggest some texture in the handles for some added grip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from difference maker we have this in our gym and i was having some soreness in my shoulders i was in a rut i could not lift more weight.. I was told to try this so here is somethings that i experience..First i could not life the same amount weight as before on this bar i was using 2 45lb plate to start out with i notice it was more heavy then a normal barbell on a normal barbell my max bench wight is 225lb for 5 reps.. On this bar the rogue mg-2 right now its 160lbs for 5 reps so thats a big difference in weight.. but with this rogue mg 2 bar i fill more muscle engaging and being used ..i use this rogue mg 2 on decline bench ...incline bench...flat bench... standing bar curl and laying tricep extension with no wight ... i highly recommend it to anyone out there just remember to start out with no weight on the bar then work your self up to heavy weight

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my lifts and my shoulder I originally bought the MG-24 bar to allow me to safely continue training my presses, thanks to a torn right rotator cuff and labrum. I'm post-surgery now, and this is still my go-to bar. The neutral grip position not only feels far more natural to me (and allows me to keep my shoulders in a safe position throughout the lift), it also places great emphasis on the chest and triceps. As a old man in the military (30) I would highly recommend this bar to anyone who asked.
