AB-2 Rogue Adjustable Bench

The Ultimate in Versatility, from the Designers of the Nebula 1080 Bench

With more than 50 combinations of seat and back-rest positions to choose from, the AB-2 Rogue Adjustable Bench can easily adapt to each individual athlete, improving the overall efficiency and productivity of any strength training facility. No matter your size, workout preferences, or available training space, this compact, 11-gauge steel bench provides the rare combination of sturdiness and maneuverability that few other adjustable weight benches even attempt to match.

The AB-2 Rogue Adjustable Bench includes six different seat settings and nine additional back rest positions, making it easily among the most versatile weight benches on the market. Unlike most commercial-brand FID benches, though, this customization element is not achieved at the expense of quality craftsmanship. Made in America, the AB-2 is a direct descendant of the time-tested Nebula 1080 Utility Bench, and includes load-bearing rubber feet for stability, cordura edges for enhanced durability, and a convenient handle and wheels for easy mobility.

If You Already Own an AB-2 Bench: You can purchase our Retro-Fit Kit to swap out your current spine and replace it with the new version in order to add the telescoping foot catch. Customers purchasing the Retro-Fit Kit will need to disassemble some components of their current AB-2 Bench in order to install the new spine.

works fine but...
Bench is great but the seat was installed crooked. Yes, it still functions as intended but looks weird.

Love Rogue, Hate this Bench
I will begin by saying that I really do love Rogue equipment- and yet I HATE this bench. I am absolutely dumbfounded by the high reviews I am seeing here. I think the pictures speak for themselves. The gap in the bench takes the form of a great chasm such that it is all but impossible to get comfortable when the bench is flat. Unfortunately, it gets worse. I paid extra or the sticky material and I can assure you that I have never across a bench so slippery. For me this is arguably the most important part of a bench. It is nearly impossible to maintain a proper arch unless you use a rubber pad on the bench. At $1000 with shipping, I can't believe how bad my experience with this bench has been. I wish I could get a redo when picking out my bench- maybe this comment will give you that chance. Good luck :)

Downgrading to a 1 star review
I initially reviewed as 2 star. I admit this was a pretty harsh review as this was for a damaged handle, cosmetic issues and no instructions for installing the retrofit kit. Honestly though, at this price point, implement a fix for the handle so it doesn't get damaged when moving the bench. Without a fix, you have to bend down to look under the seat and check if the handle is centred before moving in fear of damaging the handle further. I am downgrading this to a 1 star as upon further inspection, my bottom seat has a wobble to it. The pad for the back is rock solid but for an 1800 AUD bench, I don't want a wobble to the bottom seat when it is brand new. I have tried trouble shooting it but it seems to be the metal frame itself that is causing the wobble. To improve this product, please include instructions for mounting the retrofit kit and potentially including an Allen key. Id be surprised if many people have an Allen key that large and at 475 AUD for the retrofit kit, save people a trip to the hardware store. I want to love this bench I really do and those niggly things I can get over. The gap between the pads though is what causes me to not recommend this product unless you can try it first. For a dumbbell chest press you have to sit on the edge of the seat so when you roll back you have support on your bum otherwise you roll into the gap. For skull crushers (tricep extensions) where you would place you head right at the top of the back pad in the horizontal position or zero degrees, at 6ft my bum is right at the edge of the gap. 6'1" might be ok but I would say anyone taller than this and your lower back would fall into the gap. I hope this review helps people make a more informed decision about this purchase.

Easily damaged
I bought this 2 months ago and the pad started wearing through as soon as it was to late to return it! Customer service said it was normal for an 800$ bench to wear like this after 26 days.
Pad damage less than 30 days old, barely used!

Good bench, but few small issues
Good all round bench but a few annoying issues with no bushings on the handle bolt and wheels so they would slide side to side and hit the bench frame, then get sharp edges or constantly get caught. I added some to fix the issues but for the price you shouldn't need to.

Like new after 7 years
Bought this bench in 2015, used it regularly since. Still on the original pads, and they look great. The metal parts and wheels and everything still function flawlessly. I expected some corrosion over the years, being a garage bench—nope. At this rate, this thing is going to outlast me. Quality product!

retro fit kit not available in europe :(
I would be 100% satisfied with the AB-2 if the retrofit kit was available in europe. Sadly, ordering the update kit from the US is unacceptable as taxes and shipping would lead to a total price increase that is almost equivalent to the original AB-2 price. Besides the latter problem, the AB-2 is amazing. Solid as hell. Best, Thomas
