Rogue LB Competition Plates

Rogue Competition Plates are an IWF standard 450MM in diameter, with chrome-plated steel disc inserts and a 50.40MM collar opening for a firm, stable hold. We've added several new features to this line-up of color-coded bumpers:

1. Minimal Bounce
Tested on a Shore A Durometer scale, the Competition Plates' average measurement was a 94, which delivers a consistent dead blow with minimal bounce found in high end Olympic weightlifting bumpers. Less bounce means less time chasing your bar around the gym.

2. New Finish and Lettering
The plates have been given a gloss-matte-gloss textured matte finish and raised lettering for a bolder look.

3. Raised Flanges
A raised rubber surface is now included to prevent direct metal-on-metal contact between the center discs. Whether stacked on the bar or on a rack, the bumpers only come into contact with each other on the inner and outer flanges—reducing scuffing and helping to preserve the plates’ finish and lettering. A convenient lip on the edge of the plate also makes it easier to pick up from the rack or off the ground.

Rogue Competition Plates come in four vibrant colors (Red/55LB, Blue/45LB, Yellow/35LB, Green/25LB) and can be ordered in a wide variety of sets depending on your gym’s needs. See the order form on the right to choose the option best for you or contact us with a custom order request.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great look and function I needed the 25's to round out my 35's and 45's. People rave about the green and white with the metal.. They work great and don't mark up my other bumpers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality, Like 99% of Rouge products the quality is very good. The first thing I noticed was the ballance of the plates. A very minor note: they are much wider than traditional steel plates but this is really a non issue for me. I bought my plates on Black Friday and saved $500 total between sale price, free shipping and no sales tax. I would purchase more to complete my outfit, but I will wait till next years Black Friday and buy again. Prices are high and not made in the US.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made and in kilograms First of all, these arrived safely and undamaged. The cardboard on one of the six plates I ordered had torn away but the plate was still protected by the thin foam sheath inside the box. The Rogue Competition Plates are well-constructed, balanced rubber plates in kilograms made to international dimensions and color standards. I like that the hardware is accessible from only one side of the plate. Only time will tell how well these hold up to home use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for the money I purchased a set of these Rogue Kg competition plates, and for reference I also own set of HiTemps and have experience with a few other competition plates. I'll start with the things that are less important: As others have said, the packaging is poor. Both of my 25 and 20 kg plates had burst out of the boxes, and all plates came with some very minimal damage. On one hand, I don't really care because they are heavy chunks of rubber designed to be dropped, but on the other hand, these are being sold as a high end item, and a lot of people are buying them because they look nice. Ultimately, it doesn't bother me much, but I'd think it wouldn't take much for Rogue to step up the packaging just a tiny bit to alleviate this issue. Aesthetically, these plates are phenomenal. They look as good as anything out there right now. There's nothing more to say here. Now the more important features: These plates function as they should for their price. They fit much tighter to the bar than training plates, but not as tight as something like Uesaka with the highest tolerances (though these are about 1/4 the price, so that's fine). I snatch with no collars without any trouble. The rubber is hard, and the bounce is minimal, as it should be. This also means that they are LOUD. I will be keeping the HiTemps around for late night/early morning sessions that need to be quiet. These have all the looks of an IWF competition plate, such as calibration screws, two piece hub, etc, however they are not IWF certified, as are some other brands' training plates that do not cost much more. All things considered, however, I'd rate these as the best bang for the buck in the competition disc space right now. You can buy better, but not without spending 3-5 times as much.
