Rogue Dumbbell Bumpers

Designed for use with our Loadable Dumbbells, Rogue’s cylindrical Dumbbell Bumpers come in six weight increments (10LB, 15LB, 25LB, 35LB, 45LB, 55LB)—each measuring the same 230MM in diameter. This unique patent-pending design allows athletes to load on more weight, customized to their training level, while still maintaining the compact look and feel of a traditional dumbbell.

While Rogue’s DB-10 and DB-15 Loadable Dumbbells are compatible with other Olympic plate options, our specialized Dumbbell Bumpers offer a new opportunity for a more centralized weight distribution and easier handling. Each Dumbbell Plate is also built to the same quality as our full-size Rogue Color Training Plates, with a tested Shore A durometer of 88, along with a chrome-plated insert and bright color finish. The weight tolerance is +/- 1%, and all plates include exclusive Rogue branding.

Rogue DB Bumpers can also now be used with our specialized C-60B Barbell to create the benefits of traditional fixed bar training in a more space-efficient package.

Note: Dumbbell Bumpers are NOT meant to be dropped from overhead

Key Features of Rogue Dumbbell Bumpers:

  • 1More Weight, Same Diameter

There is no better way to get the most out of your Rogue Loadable Dumbbell than with the addition of these plates. The cylinder shape of the Rogue Dumbbell Bumper means that each weight increment, from 10LB up to 55LB, has the same 230MM diameter (roughly 9"), creating a much more compact and natural-feeling dumbbell. The three largest plates (35LB, 45LB, and 55LB) are a universal 150MM in thickness, as well. The center inserts are cut-out to fit over the Loadable Dumbbell collar for a secure fit.

  • 2Quality Rogue Construction

Rogue Dumbbell Bumpers are essentially condensed versions of our standard full-size Rogue Color Training Plates. The quality rubber construction and 88 durometer—paired with a solid chrome-plated insert—ensure long-term durability. Color finishes are used in the same pattern as our traditional plates (Black / Green / Yellow / Blue / Red) for easy on-sight recognition, and the exclusive branding includes the Rogue logo above and below the collar opening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Idea, Great Functionality I have had these for 6 months and have been using them on an almost daily basis. I use them for bench, flys, farmers walks, and mostly 1 arm snatch. I beat on these things and they have shown little wear and if they disappeared tomorrow I would buy them again happily. Some very simple math and common sense would reveal that these plates are stackable for a lot of weight variation. I coupled them with the change plates and can get any weight I need between no weight added and 45lbs on each sleeve. I will be buying the 55s soon because you cannot stack up to that much weight without the collars loosing purchase on the bar. I look forward to years of use out of these and am very, very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ***IMPORTANT UPDATE*** MAX 3X 15LB PLATES PER SIDE So I was in agreement with the criticisms posted as to the sizing of the larger weighted plates, however, I own 12x (quantity) of the 15 LB DB Bumpers and that allows me to max my DB-15 out with an Rogue OSO Collar (securely-clamped on), thus meaning you do NOT need to buy 2 very pricey pair's of pretty blues or even a pair of pretty yellows if you choose not to. Simply stack the 2x 10LB DB Bumper and a 15LB DB Bumper. I initially thought the plate sizing was a gimmick, however if you can do everything with the 10LB DB Bumpers and the 15LB DB Bumpers then the extra price is for convenience in my opinion and justified, given the quality. Hopefully, this newfound wisdom helps everyone stack their beautiful DB-15's to the MAX.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Idea, Poor Functionality These dumbbells in theory are awesome. I debated various adjustable dumbbells for a long time. Space is a concern in my home gym. These seemed to answer that problem- you can be “rough” with them in ways an adjustable dumbbell just can’t withstand. However, it’s almost as if they designed the plate widths so you have to buy every plate size. I mean why not make them stackable? If they really wanted to corner a market, and not just sell a gimmick, adjust the widths so you can stack 35s with a 10s. I’ll be honest, I didn’t and won’t buy these. I mean come on, 1400 bucks for essentially 3 different dumbbell pairs? That’s absurd. The 35, 45, 55 are the same width? That has to be on purpose (fill the sleeve so cheapos like me can just by 35 and some 10s. Rogue- if you’re really out to help people with your products.. listen to what the people want. If you designed these so that an average Joe could buy a few pairs of 10s and maybe 35s or 45s and allowed room for stacking 10s or 5s or 2.5s you’d have my money today. Instead I’ll keep looking. And I only say this cause I’m begging you to do that. Nobody else has that on the market- you’d put bow flex and powerblock in the toilet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fav quarantine purchase These are great. Not Having access to gym sucked, but being able to lift at home with bigger weights I could drop was nice and kept me motivated.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well made, but design choices questionable. I purchased the full set. I’d give them 5 starts for quality- these are very well made and look great, I’m sure will stand the test of time. That being said, there’s some design decisions that really don’t seem to make sense that drive my 3 star overall review. For starters, If you stack the 10 and the 15 to make 25, you end up with a 3inch thick dumbbell, vs the 4.75” thick for the 25lb standalone dumbbell- why is the 25lb so much thicker? It basically serves no purpose- sure you could stack a 10 on the end of it and make 35, but then why not just stack two 10’s and a 15 and have a smaller footprint dumbbell for less cost. Furthermore, the 35-55 lb are all the same thickness, and similar to the 25lb, you would end up with a significantly smaller footprint just stacking the 10’s or 15’s and make adjustments up or down much easier on yourself (changing these is easy enough but certainly much easier to fling off a 10 on each side than lug the 55s around and swap em for 45s for example). My final frustration is no ability to add change plates on the 35-55 lb dumbbells. Want to bump your 85lb press up to 90lbs? Too bad, your next option is 105 as these consume the entire sleeve. As more equipment becomes available through this pandemic, I’ll honestly probably sell these and buy a bunch of competition rubber coated 5kg change plates, which if stacking 5 per side would net you the same 55lbs in bumper format but give you an overall nearly 2” shorter footprint and theoretically allow you to load 66lb per with 6x 5kg plates and allow far more flexibility in adjustments. Overall I think these are a cool concept and well made, but the execution on sizing means it lacks a ton of practicality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love em Bought 35, 45, 55lbs. These are awesome. Incredibly happy with my purchase. Much like all Rogue products.. these are pretty beefy specifically the 35,45, and 55. You will only be able to put one on the DB-15 (dumbbell), but the fact I can use these with smaller bars is awesome. Love using these in the house where I have a small compact area to lift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality. Best home dumbbell option Bought these last week and use them daily. There is no better option for heavy dumbbells at home. Easy to swap weights. Precisely made, high quality. Absolutely love them. Highly recommend using with Rogue DB-15 bar and collars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality I love DB snatches, cleans, etc so these have always been on the radar. My standby are a stack of the rubber coated 10lb change plates, which I love. The bumpers become a bit “circus-like” on the DB-15 - I prefer the change plates. I actually prefer them on my curl bar You can go up to 125lbs with either one on the DB-15. Here’s a 105lbs comparison shot.
