Rogue MG-2 Multi-Grip Bars

Rogue’s fully welded MG-2 Multi-Grip Bars go beyond the typical Swiss bar or football barbell, offering a uniquely angled, two-way neutral grip design and compatibility with most standard power racks and Olympic plates. Whether you’re looking to reduce stress on the wrists and shoulders during press movements or to target your triceps for better lockouts, these bars enable an athlete to experiment with different approaches and develop more dynamic lifting programs.

There are currently two different models of the MG-2. The hexagonal, 52.75" MG-23 is an adaptation of our original MG-1 Heavy Duty Multi Grip Bar 2.0, and includes six angled handles (1.25” in diameter) spaced at 6.5”, 14.5”, and 22.5”. This gives the athlete three distinct grips to choose from—with a close grip emphasizing the triceps and a wide grip targeting the pectoral muscles. The Multi-Grip Bar can also be turned 180 degrees (with the Rogue logo upside down) to reverse the angle of the handles for curls or an “elbows-in” bench press.

The rectangular MG-24 Bar is roughly the same total length as the MG-23, but includes two additional handles (all at the same angle), with spacing options at 6”, 14”, 22”, and 30”. Like the MG-23, it can be rotated for elbows-in, triceps-focused training.

Both MG-2 Multi-Grip Bars are finished in our Rogue signature black powder coat. Please note that any metal-to-metal contact with the coated sleeves (such as adding and/or removing plates) may cause wear on the finish over time.

Important: For Collars that fit specialty bars like the MG-2, please see the Rogue HG Axle Collars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this bar! The positioning of the handles on this bar really work for me, I have a bad wrist so the angle of this barbell gives me a great pump and really alleviate the stresses put on my wrist by a straight bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bar. Really pleased with this bar so far. It is as advertised. The only downside is what others have mentioned and what Rogue even notes in the description--the powder coating. The finish, especially the sleeves, gets scraped up pretty easily and picks up rust/dirt/whatever rubs off of from the inside of my plates. But the only multi-grip bar I found that had normal, chrome rotating sleeves was nearly double the price of this one. I'm sure it won't look that pretty after a few years' worth of use, but it gets the job done for a reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Bar, get Rogue collars also The gym loves this bar, but I was unaware that standard collars would not work to keep the weight secure. I would have ordered them had I known beforehand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Theses angle’s help alot I haven’t been lifting for a few months,I’m 67 years old and found out I have nerve damage in my left hand.Working out was putting a lot of stress on my wrist. The pain has been terrible and not being able to lift well let’s just say that hurt since I have been doing it most of my life. But this bar with theses angles has let me start benching again, and best of all the pain is going away. I know I might not ever get back to where I was but that’s ok. I know its probably arthritis also along with nerve damage but I’m for sure thankful for this bar

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Quality Addition To Home Gym I used this MG-24 yesterday for my first workout and it was awesome. Did bench press and ultimately worked up to about 30 - 40 lbs. less than I would use with standard barbell. Since it was the first time using the bar I didn't want to overdo it. My first Rogue product and it is extremely well built with great welds and ergonomics. The handles are not knurled which I didn't find to be any problem for me. The handles are quite a bit thicker than a standard barbell and felt just perfect in my hands. The neutral grip bench seemed to give me a great pump and looked like it targeted the upper pecs more than a standard bench. Overall, have to say this is a way more comfortable way for me to bench and the bar just feels "right" in my hands. I wish I had bought it earlier but the cost always put me off. Now that I see the quality for myself I can see why others outfit their home gyms with Rogue.
