Rogue Ohio Power Bar

Fully machined and assembled in Columbus, OH, the 29mm Rogue Ohio Power Bar features a 205,000 PSI steel shaft, single powerlifting knurl marks, and center knurling. The bar’s knurl pattern is deep and coarse without being sharp or abrasive, and the 29mm shaft diameter and high tensile strength result in little to no flex or whip. This makes the Ohio Power Bar a perfectly honed workhorse for the bench, squat, and deadlift.

The 45 LB Ohio Power Bar includes bronze bushings, a snap ring design, and 16.25” of loadable sleeve length.

When ordering, you can select from three finish options:

  • Black Zinc shaft with Bright Zinc sleeves
  • Stainless Steel shaft with Chrome sleeves
  • Bare Steel

Rogue also manufactures a 20KG Ohio Power Bar, with friction-welded sleeves and 16-7/8" loadable sleeve space.

Specifications:

  • Made in Columbus, OH, USA
  • More aggressive knurling for powerlifting
  • Center knurl for added “stick” to the back during squats
  • 29mm Diameter and 205,000 PSI tensile strength for greater rigidity and reduced whip
  • Bronze Bushings and Snap Ring Design for smooth spin
  • Weight: 45lb
  • Finish Options: Black Zinc Shaft / Bright Zinc Sleeves, Stainless Shaft / Chrome Sleeves, or Bare Steel
  • Lifetime Warranty against bending*
  • 1205,000 PSI Steel

The Ohio Power Bar’s 29mm diameter steel shaft boasts a tensile strength of 205,000 PSI, delivering superior rigidity and virtually zero whip/flex. Machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio, the bar also features a snap-ring design and quality bronze bushings for a smooth, consistent feel.

  • 2Aggressive Knurl

The bar includes single powerlifting marks and a center knurl, each featuring a deep, coarse pattern that produces a reliable grip / stick without being sharp or abrasive. Perfecting this knurl pattern is both a science and an art. Every bar shaft is machined in Columbus on new Haas machines (built in the USA) and fine-tuned and personally tested by the Rogue team.

  • 3Three Finish Options

Depending on the look and feel you prefer, there is a version of the Ohio Power Bar right in your wheelhouse. The Zinc option (black shaft, bright sleeves) provides excellent corrosion resistance, the Bare Steel creates a classic look and natural feel, and the new Stainless Steel variation (with Chrome sleeves) strikes a balance between the two. • 4Use It With These Other Rogue Products

Ohio Power Bar owners can use this barbell in conjunction with a broad range of other top caliber Rogue powerlifting products, from the Westside Bench and R-3 Power Rack to deadlift bar jacks, Wagon Wheel plates, and Calibrated Steel Plates.

  • 5Lifetime Warranty

The Ohio Power Bar’s quality construction is backed by Rogue’s Lifetime Warranty against bending. This is a barbell equipped for high intensity, everyday use. Please Note: The warranty does not cover damage due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user, i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage. Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

  • 6Fast Rogue Shipping

Orders placed by 3PM ship the same day. The Rogue Shipping System allows you to track your order from the time you place it to the time it hits your door. Order today, track today.

Please Note: Like any fine piece of machined steel, a bare steel barbell will require some upkeep. Occasionally brushing the bar down with 3-in-1 oil or WD-40 will create a beautiful patina look. This is how bars were made for decades and it really does produce an unmatched feel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ohio Power Bar Excellent Barbell for the price. Very happy with my purchase. Knurling is awesome, and the spin is great. Since I have had this barbell for my garage gym it is always the bar of choice when I choose which one I am going to use for a particular lift...all of my barbells are Rogue ;-) All great choices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No other option... For Bench, Deadlift and Squat there is no other option. The grip on it is great. Not painful or anything like others have said. It is perfect. My hands get really sweaty and the regular gym bars have little knurl to them so my hands may slip out up to 1 inch from the start location because of that. With the Power Bar there is none of that. I have yet to use chalk with it so far and no matter how sweaty my hands are it's not a problem. Immediately my Bench and Deads have gone up and I attribute that to needing very little focus on gripping the bar. I own a Rogue Oly bar, Rogue Ohio Bar, Rogue Bella Bar,Rogue Curl Bar and the Rogue loadable dumbbell and as far as grip with no chak this is the best. I did get the Bare Steel version because I am keeping it inside my gym.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bare steel maintenance - longer term review I wasn't sure what I was getting into with a bare steel bar. For those on the fence, I've had mine for 2 yrs now and kept it in my basement. I live in New England. Before I got it, I was wondering if it would be super high maintenance. It's not. I've left it on the floor. My basement doesn't get super damp, but I also am not running a dehumidifier. The point is, this is not Arizona with zero humidity, but it's a relatively constant temperature down there, relatively humid. I've applied 4 in 1 oil about 5 times in 2 yrs. I do not use chalk (the grip is GREAT without it). The bar has a few small brown spots on it where there may have been some sweat or water which I didn't wipe off and it sat in it for a week when I went on vacation. I never wipe it off after use. Other than that, the new steel shine has slightly faded, but it is still silver, not brown like very old bars you sometimes see. Maybe it will end up that way one day, but it will take a long time at this rate. I guess if you want a super pristine bar that never looks like it has been touched, maybe bare steel is not for you. But it's a lot lower maintenance than I thought it would be and it feels great-- other bars now feel slippery by comparison. I'm totally sold on bare steel-- it's definitely worth the very slight maintenance tradeoff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Quality Bar This is my first quality bar. Up until now my go-to bar was a cheap barbell set bar that was thick (30 mm), passive knurl with no end caps. Suited my purposes up to 300 lbs, then began to bend. My Ohio Powerbar has a much more aggressive knurl that will take some getting used to, but will be handy in the sweatier months. Fit and finish are equally sharp, and I am a lot more confident with my lifts. Like I said, my first quality bar, and probably my last... as it should hold up to a lifetime of lifting.
