Rogue TB-1 Trap Bar 2.0

Version 2.0 of the Rogue TB-1 Trap Bar features the same general design and dimensions of the original, but with an updated, precision sleeve construction that reduces the starting weight of the bar by more than 25 percent. This makes the TB-1 easier to maneuver without limiting its effectiveness. Simply put, if you want to lift massive weight, this tool still belongs in your arsenal.

The Trap Bar’s hexagonal design and knurled, neutral grip handles make it optimized for performing deadlifts that put less stress on the lumbar spine—since the load is centered and not off axis like a traditional deadlift. This same benefit makes the TB-1 2.0 a useful specialty bar for beginners, as well as athletes dealing with nagging back issues or rehabbing from other injuries.

We manufacture the TB-1 in Columbus, OH, and it's fully compatible with standard Oly plates.

Approved for the new Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT)

This product has been officially approved for use with the United States Army’s Combat Fitness Test, a 6-event readiness assessment that’s replacing the previous 3-event Army Physical Fitness Test in 2020. The grueling new ACFT is neutral across all genders and age groups, and includes a strength deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint/drag/carry, leg tuck, and a 2-mile run.

IMPORTANT: Some standard barbell collars may not work on this specialty bar. We recommend using either the Rogue Metal Axle Collars or the OSO Axle Collars.

Amazing balance

It's an amazing beast!
The knurling: knurling is maybe the most annoyingly subjective topic of barbell reviews. I read one review that this knurling is extreme. It's not. If you like the knurling on the Rogue power bar, this is close, but not as aggressive. The balance: I bought this to upgrade from a CAP trap bar (you know it). The CAP bar claimed a 53lb weight. The Rogue TB-1 claims a 60lb, but it's balance and distribution make it very easy to move around, stand up, lay down. I can also use my bar jack with this, just like a regular barbell.

TB-1 Trap Bar 2.0
This thing is incredible! Balance is perfect. Construction is over done making it extremely worth its money! You can't go wrong purchasing/using this bar. Great for deadlifts, shrugs, farmer's walks.

Inclusive of women lifters
Love this trap bar and live rogue but there are lots of smaller framed lifters out there now and having a narrow grip option is critical for us. Please Rogue - consider that not all your customers are huge !!

Only one thing wrong
It’s a great bar, nothing wrong with it, meets MIL specs, only one problem. Every other trap bar has a blank stripe on the handles for center of balance to line a grip to, this one doesn’t. Quite literally makes no sense to not have it. Almost makes this unit pointless and obsolete. For the money this company charges for its basic products, that blank line for COB should have easily been there, you design great things, there’s no point to not have it. Fail. You can get better for less money.

Great quality
Purchase this bar a few months ago. Have been using it multiple times a week. Great for ACFT prep! Don’t wait on this if you’re in the Army and thinking about buying one

Exactly what I needed!
This thing is built like a tank, incredibly solid, high quality welds. Knurl is just a little bit sharp, considering I no longer have to worry about the bar rolling in my hands as my grip fatigues, but on the heavier lifts when I’m using wrist straps they cover the knurl so it doesn’t matter too much. The box was a little beat up in shipping, but the bar came through solid and unscathed. I have been able to increase my deadlift with this. I know there’s debate about if these help the lower back my moving the weight straight down the middle of the center of gravity, and so I was curious to experiment for myself (never just trust reviews). For me I found my back ache resolved within a week!

It's a Beast
Bought this after injuring my lower back for the 4th time in 2 years doing traditional deadlifts with a barbell. Always paid attention to my form, warmed up with 2-3 lighter sets, etc. But an old muscle tear in my lower back (from deadlifting) just seems to keep haunting me. Bought this based on reviews and YouTube videos, primarily Untamed Strength recent video about using a trap bar. It's not "quite" the same as a deadlift, but it's pretty close, especially if you keep your hips higher and don't bend too much at the knees (making it more like a squat). I don't feel any pressure on my lower back but I still feel my hamstrings being engaged. Would recommend this to anyone.

Solid
Have had the TB2 for about a month. Packaging was great. So far I love it. Feels solid! Like the ability to use it different ways with the raised handles of flip it over if you want more ROM. Highly recommend!
