Rogue TB-1 Trap Bar 2.0

Version 2.0 of the Rogue TB-1 Trap Bar features the same general design and dimensions of the original, but with an updated, precision sleeve construction that reduces the starting weight of the bar by more than 25 percent. This makes the TB-1 easier to maneuver without limiting its effectiveness. Simply put, if you want to lift massive weight, this tool still belongs in your arsenal.

The Trap Bar’s hexagonal design and knurled, neutral grip handles make it optimized for performing deadlifts that put less stress on the lumbar spine—since the load is centered and not off axis like a traditional deadlift. This same benefit makes the TB-1 2.0 a useful specialty bar for beginners, as well as athletes dealing with nagging back issues or rehabbing from other injuries.

We manufacture the TB-1 in Columbus, OH, and it's fully compatible with standard Oly plates.

Approved for the new Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT)

This product has been officially approved for use with the United States Army’s Combat Fitness Test, a 6-event readiness assessment that’s replacing the previous 3-event Army Physical Fitness Test in 2020. The grueling new ACFT is neutral across all genders and age groups, and includes a strength deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint/drag/carry, leg tuck, and a 2-mile run.

IMPORTANT: Some standard barbell collars may not work on this specialty bar. We recommend using either the Rogue Metal Axle Collars or the OSO Axle Collars.

  • Neutral Grip Handles, Spaced 25” on center with easy-grip knurling, 1.34" diameter

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality Purchase this bar a few months ago. Have been using it multiple times a week. Great for ACFT prep! Don’t wait on this if you’re in the Army and thinking about buying one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed! This thing is built like a tank, incredibly solid, high quality welds. Knurl is just a little bit sharp, considering I no longer have to worry about the bar rolling in my hands as my grip fatigues, but on the heavier lifts when I’m using wrist straps they cover the knurl so it doesn’t matter too much. The box was a little beat up in shipping, but the bar came through solid and unscathed. I have been able to increase my deadlift with this. I know there’s debate about if these help the lower back my moving the weight straight down the middle of the center of gravity, and so I was curious to experiment for myself (never just trust reviews). For me I found my back ache resolved within a week!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a Beast Bought this after injuring my lower back for the 4th time in 2 years doing traditional deadlifts with a barbell. Always paid attention to my form, warmed up with 2-3 lighter sets, etc. But an old muscle tear in my lower back (from deadlifting) just seems to keep haunting me. Bought this based on reviews and YouTube videos, primarily Untamed Strength recent video about using a trap bar. It's not "quite" the same as a deadlift, but it's pretty close, especially if you keep your hips higher and don't bend too much at the knees (making it more like a squat). I don't feel any pressure on my lower back but I still feel my hamstrings being engaged. Would recommend this to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Have had the TB2 for about a month. Packaging was great. So far I love it. Feels solid! Like the ability to use it different ways with the raised handles of flip it over if you want more ROM. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built like a tank! Before you buy a Hex Bar make sure to check the loadable length of the bar. I made a mistake and bought a cheaper bar before this one and my bumper plates outgrew it fast. This bar can handle all my plates. The only negative is the packing was terrible for the weight of this bar. The packaging was damaged on the bottom and one side was completely open resulting with scratches on the bottom and one side of the bar. Other than that I highly recommend. Also shipping could of been a little cheaper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pain Free Absolutely love this piece of equipment. Do to multiple injuries to back, hip, and knees. It’s been hard to do squats without pain. So far pain free. Needed this equipment years ago

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bar Great Bar! It's an asset in my home gym and well worth the cost and the space it consumes. It allows me to confidently deadlift without concerns for my lower back. I would have given it 5 stars but I have only had it a few weeks and the finish is coming off the selves from friction with the plates. (Yes, that is mentioned on the website.) I highly recommend getting "The Dead Wedge" to go with it. The wedge makes swapping bumper plates on and off considerably quicker and easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this thing The trap bar deadlift is the king of all exercises and this bar provides excellent tools to get the job done. It is very sturdy, has great handle grip, and puts you in the perfect stance to perform the lift. I’m really feeling the gains in the legs using this thing every other day. No need to get the other bar that has raised handles - this bad boy is all you need to get a great lower body workout in. My lower back thanks me every day as now I don’t even deadlift with the straight bar.
