Rogue Safety Squat Bar doesn't make squatting any easier.

Training with the Rogue Safety Squat bar is known to tax your anterior chain; the weight distribution falls between the front squat and the high-bar back squat to vary your power output training. This bar is a safer option for intense squat progressions or maximum load lifts. This bar is known to increase your maximum working weight when compared to the traditional back squat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent This thing is great. Heavy duty, solid, and safer than a regular bar. Wish I had this in my 20s and my thirties.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME SQUAT BAR!! This thing is outstanding especially for squatting after shoulder surgery. Had a labrum repair in late September due to a Highland Games injury and I still cannot get into a normal low bar squat position with a straight bar, but this has allowed me to continue squatting starting 8 weeks out from surgery!! It is incredibly heavy duty and durable as with all the gear I have purchased from Rogue. Top notch quality and construction. If you have shoulder problems and think you can't squat anymore think again. I WOULD GIVE THIS MORE STARS IF I COULD!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Squatting again! Just received my SB-1 yesterday and put it to use this morning. It was the first time in years I've squatted pain free. No wrist, elbow, shoulder, or knee pain! Very solidly built piece of equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic complement to training I severely injured my biceps (rapture) 8 weeks ago. This bar has allowed me to continue hard training in a safe way. I will for sure continue to use this bar after my recovery since it is fantastic to do heavy squatting with it. I am normally doing Olympic lifts - this bar will be a key supplement along with front squats in the future. The bar is high quality - I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this bar! I just got my SB-1 and I LOVE it. Background: I'm 68 and haven't been able to reach around to grab the bar to do a squat in 12 years. OK, I should have done rehab, but I'm a bad patient. I like lifting but I don't like doing what I'm told. My son is 15 (yeah, I started late) and he wanted to start lifting. I needed to be able to do squats, so I bought the SB-1(after reading some of the reviews). I wish I had bought it 12 years ago! I'm squatting without shoulder pain!!! I won't reveal my current squat numbers, but they won't stay down for long now that I can squat regularly again. I had used a front squat harness, but it just didn't seem to be right for my (strange) body type and mechanics. I did a little research on "safety bars" before I bought from Rogue. Some had vertical bars (whatever they are called) that were wide apart. Well, I'm only 5'6", and my shoulders aren't that wide. The width on the Rogue bar is great! The bar itself is thick and heavy (heavier than my old old bar). I think I recall reading (too lazy to go back and look) that the coating could be chipped. If it does get chipped, who cares. It's the foundation that I care about and that is great. Oh, and the SB-1 is also great for GMs, too. So I'm rambling on. You get the idea. I'll be reporting on the MG-1 for my benching (again, no numbers!) when I get the chance. I'm planning on ordering the bands, too. I got some cheap ones from a seller on Amazon. From now on, I want stuff from guys who lift BIG, and know what they are selling. Cheers Lew (OK, I think I deleted the obscenities ... I have a potty mouth)
