The SLM-6 is a unique variation of our standard Monster Weight Stack Slinger™, designed specifically for use with RM-6 Monster Power Racks. Ideal for users who have their rack positioned near a wall, this new set-up enables (a) the weight stack to sit conveniently in the smaller 24” back section of an RM-6 unit, and (b) the user to still work freely off the front of the rack, utilizing the kit’s longer cable and additional pulley.
Like the standard Monster Slinger, this version of the rack-mounted cable-pulley system can deliver the training benefits of a traditional Lat Pulldown Machine with better space and cost efficiency. Customers can select the SLM-6 Slinger in one of three height options (90”, 100”, or 108”) and as either a Full or Upgrade kit.
Please Note: This Slinger is compatible ONLY with Monster Series units (1” hardware). A separate model is available for owners of the RML-6 Monster LITE rack (5/8” hardware).

IMPORTANT: If you purchased a Monster Rack prior to 2016, your crossmembers may not include the necessary holes for the Weight Stack’s cable to pass through. If this is the case, please contact team@roguefitness.com to upgrade your crossmembers or for instructions on drilling the necessary holes.
Warning: Any Rack or Rig utilizing the Slinger attachment must be securely fastened to the floor for use.

Better Optimization for RM-6 Set-Up
This version of the Slinger was specifically designed to give RM-6 rack owners a more convenient option in which their rack can remain positioned near/against a gym wall; the weight stack can sit in the 24” back portion of the rack; and the athlete can still train in the front of the rack. An extended cable and extra pulley are key to this set-up, with customers able to either purchase a full kit or upgrade their existing Slinger to this version. There are also three height options selectable in the purchase area: 90”, 100”, and 108”.

Mounting Plates + Cable & Hardware
The SLM-6 Slinger can be installed ONLY on Rogue Monster Series units. This can be done using the included pair of laser-cut and formed, ¼” thick steel Slinger Mounting Plates, which feature a quality Signature Texture Black Powdercoat finish and Rogue branding. The full kit also includes the extended ¼” MIL spec cable, 6” pulleys and all required hardware.

Get a Grip
In the purchase area, customers can choose to add a nylon Rogue Tricep Strap, a Pioneer Leather Tricep Strap, or no strap at all, if you already have a preferred pulldown option. There’s also the option of adding a Rogue Stainless Steel Lat Bar Attachment, a fully knurled bar that’s 48” long and 1.125” in diameter, with laser-cut Rogue branding and a Black Zinc/Bright Zinc finish. For customers planning to install the Slinger on a 108” tall rack, an additional 12” Grip Strap + Carabiner package can compensate for the cable usage difference, allowing shorter athletes to have a freer range of motion and a more effective workout.

Weight Stack Slinger w/ 100" RM6
Use at time of review: Approximately six months
Quality: The metal components of the assembly itself seem to be built to Rogue standards. The pulleys that sit in between the metal assembly portions could be better. They lack the overengineered feeling that I usually get with Rogue products. There is one defect in the top weight portion that grabs the other weights that mine came with. The hole in the weight itself does not allow the metal weight selector to be placed in it. Not a huge deal because I will likely never use that light a weight, but it is a defect. Cable seems fairly standard.
Shipping: Shipping was a nightmare. Apparently Rogue received a bad batch of weights from their vendor. Took significantly longer than expected to receive the product. Once I did finally receive the product it was missing a weight. I think that was the fault of the shipper and not Rogue due to a damage in shipping, but it did add more frustration to an already frustrating experience.
Function: The product works well. I have a 100" RM6 and am able to do everything I want with it. I combined the slinger with the lat-pulldown seat and it's really added versatility to my workouts. Cable runs smooth. I am 6' 2" and am able to do full cable tricep extensions with a wrap and triangle bar and there is plenty of room at the weight stack.
Final Thoughts: If you combine it with the lat pulldown seat I think it's worth the investment. I expect the product to last and the versatility it provides is great. Would a stand-alone lat pulldown station be better? Yeah, probably. You cant beat the price and if you lack space like most people do this is absolutely the way to go.

Almost a 5 but misses the bar just a bit.
Rogue definitely hits the bar when it comes to quality and more importantly customer service. The SLM monster weight stack arrived on time, packaged well, and fairly easy to assemble with one person.
The assembly instructions is the first area that misses the 5 star mark. I understand there are a lot of configurations for the monster racks as far as add ons. Taking into consideration/adding options in the instructions for the kettle bell stands that can be assembled in the rear of the rack would’ve definitely saved me a head ache. Simply moving the weight stack forward one hole from the listed position that’s suggested in the instructions will give allowance to keeping your kettle bells stands in the rear of your rack and the ability to continue to use your weight stack.
Additionally having aluminum pulleys would’ve been a nice smooth addition, as well as a tighter toleration on the guide rods (straight) as my bars make a little contact with the top plate which makes a little noise.
Overall, I love the product but there is some room for improvement. Having said that, I would still recommend the product as it is a nice improvement.

Smooth cable, built like tank
This thing is incredible. I bought the 90” weight stack version and am 5’ 4”. The stack uses minimal footprint when added to the back of the rack. I also added the top and bottom swivel pulleys to have more options. I am highly debating adding a 2nd stack!
Assembly/shipping: (as of July 2022)
Weight stack: 5 (5plate packages) , 1 (3 plate package), and 1 (stem + 1 plate attached). Stack starts at 20 lb and goes up to 300 in 10’s. They include stickers for the weight stack.
Slinger and rear slinger bracket come separate. They include the longer cable for 6 post and the shorter cable that comes with the slinger.
All hardware comes in black oxide.
Things to consider:
Taller people may need the 100” version at least. Using a large range of motion for other movements can cause the weight stack to hit the top of the back slinger post. I added a swivel pulley so you may get more range of motion without it.

Works perfect
I was waiting forever for this to come out. This is the slinger perfected! I was worried that this would come freight with the 300lb weight stack assembled, but it was disassembled in 50lb boxes. While it would be easier with a friend, I assembled it myself. So happy to be able to reintegrate exercises that I was missing! Highly recommend if you have a 6 post monster rack!
