SB-1 - Rogue Safety Squat Bar

I love this bar. The distance between the handles is just perfect. The camber angle and weight distribution perfect. The finish is superb. Really nothing to complain about. Was a bit hesitant at first after reading reviews stating that it is not as comfortable as other SSBs, but after trying bars with more snug fit and rouge’s SSB I much prefer rogue’s implementation.

I absolutely love this bar. The padding is not excessive and how it sits on your traps makes it feel more like a natural squat than any other safety squat bar out there. This bar makes it easy to move the weight over your mid foot as you work on your brace under load. Will continue to buy from here. Thanks!

★★★★★ Excellent upgrade for heavy leg training The Rogue SB-1 Safety Squat Bar has quickly become one of my favorite additions to my home gym. I wish I had added a safety squat bar years ago. The biggest advantage for me is being able to train the squat pattern hard while substantially reducing the demands on my shoulders, arms, and upper back compared with a traditional back squat. The cambered design feels extremely stable and lets me concentrate on driving through my legs rather than fighting to maintain bar position. In many ways, it gives me some of what I like about a leg press while preserving the benefits of a free-weight squat. The bar feels exactly like I expect from Rogue: extremely solid construction, excellent padding, and built for serious loading. I’ve already worked up to 340 lb for multiple sets of 5–6 reps, and the SB-1 remained comfortable and predictable under load. For anyone building a serious home gym—especially someone who wants to accumulate substantial squat volume without making shoulder mobility or upper-extremity positioning the limiting factor—the SB-1 is an excellent tool. It has earned a permanent place in my leg-day rotation. Highly recommended.

Excellent quality SSB from Rogue. This adds a new dimension to my lifting which will help with the old shoulders.

Using a Rogue safety squat helped me set some USPA national and state records. This caused me to buy one for my gym. This bar is excellent quality and being slightly wider than other similar bars makes it fit my Mono lift hooks.much better. It really does help with specific deficiencies.

Great bar ... I look forward to leg day again

Just got my bar today (4/24/2025). I want to love it, but really cant. My rogue collar’s dont even fit. they are a little to big. Is there specific collars that are supposed to be used.

Very comfortable squat bar! Very happy with the purchase.
