Hailing from Martinsburg, West Virginia, and the son of arm wrestling champion Travis Bagent, Tyson Bagent was named the West Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year after passing for 41 touchdowns, finishing his high school career with an impressive 7,800 passing yards and 112 touchdown passes. He went on to rewrite the record book at Shepherd University, becoming the school's all-time passing leader. His exceptional college career culminated in prestigious awards, including the Harlon Hill Trophy and the Hardman Award, solidifying his status as a two-time All-American and PSAC East Offensive Player of the Year.

Bagent's talent translated smoothly to the professional level, making him the first Division II undrafted rookie quarterback to start an NFL game since 1950. He has since established himself as a valuable asset for the Chicago Bears, having started four games in his rookie season and showcasing his potential as a future NFL star.
