Product Description

Developed by Animalhouse Fitness, MonkeyFeet is a patented, ratchet-based shoe attachment uniquely designed to hold a standard dumbbell, up to 160 LBS in weight. This innovation allows athletes to lift DBs with their feet just as they would with their hands, opening up dozens of leg training movements (leg extensions, high knees, hamstring curls, raises, donkey kicks, etc.) without the need of expensive machines.

Sold as singles or as a pair, MonkeyFeet work interchangeably on the left and right foot, and they are equipped to fit most shoe sizes. Each 1.2 LB attachment is constructed from high-end materials and incorporates ratchet technology borrowed from the action sports world, keeping the dumbbell secured below the heel for optimal comfort and freedom of motion. Just fold, clamp, and ratchet to secure the DB, then get your work in. Leg Day can now move from the gym to the park, home, work . . . MonkeyFeet’s portability puts no limits on where you train.

It's "ok"
I've had the product for a couple of months using it for leg extensions and curls. While this is probably the best product on the market of this form factor that I'm aware of, it's important to know what you are buying. This is effectively a cheap snowboard binding with a claw grip underneath. The foam used for cushioning will wear and flake off quickly. You can forget about using a wide-heeled shoe, like a running shoe, as it won't fit unless you are quite small. Unfortunately there isn't a better product out there short of a more expensive and space consuming leg extension/curl machine.

Good product but some wear is already showing
This product is awesome! Love the function it gives me for my home gym. The only problem I noticed was after using for one week, the foam padding on the inside started coming off and continues to do so. Seems like for the price, it shouldn’t be falling apart so quickly. I am only wearing Metcons when using these.

It feels more secure than the strap
It feels a bit awkward on my foot. Just ignore that and get your work out in.

Great concept.
These could be awesome but they aren’t built sturdy enough. My pair are fairly destroyed after a month of use. The green pins fall out on a regular basis. The rubber pads to (I’m assuming) secure your dumbbell and lessen them from spinning were ripped out on the first use. I think there needs to be some improvements to the concept and then this will be a great product. All in all the company needs to use more durable materials, redesign the hinge device and how the foot is secured. I still use them but it’s a lot of work to get the monkey feet to where I need them for every set.

Only one was sent in the mail.
I paid over $70 for what I expect was a single pair of Monkeyfeet. I picked one because I assumed it was a SINGLE PAIR, but it really just means one sold at a time. Do I really have to pay full price for another one, or was only one sent by mistake?
