Rogue Anvil Grip

Rogue Anvil Grip is a solid steel, cone-shaped grip implement machined and assembled at Rogue HQ in Columbus, Ohio. Measuring 13.5” in length from the top of the cone to the eye-bolt at its base, this tool can be used in conjunction with a simple carabiner and loading pin to attach a desired weight load for a customized workout. The compatible 12” Rogue Loading Pin is sold separately.

The base of the Rogue Anvil Grip measures 3” across, with a tapered design ending in a 0.75” diameter at the top. It weighs 12.33 LBS unloaded (17.58 LBS with a loading pin), and is available in your choice of two finishes: Raw (Bare Steel)* or Black Oxide. Both versions include engraved Rogue branding in the base.

We designed the Rogue Anvil Grip as an homage to one of the oldest grip training tests on record, as generations of Strongmen have attempted to lift traditional blacksmith’s anvils—usually by the horn-shaped end—as an ultimate feat of strength. Even today, anvil lifting is still attempted by some of the world’s best, with the tapered horn presenting a particular challenge re-created in this new grip training tool.

Customers can opt to include a carabiner set and/or grip straps with their order via the options menu.

Please Note: Like any fine piece of machined steel, the raw / bare steel version of the Rogue Anvil Grip will require some upkeep. Occasionally brushing down the implement with 3-in-1 oil or WD-40 can create a beautiful patina look.

Far exceeded my expectations. I have the “Handful of Anvil and “The little big Horn”. You have to give credit to Ironmind. Rogue took it many levels above. We all stand on the shoulders of those before us. If you can only afford one it’s got to be the Rogue Anvil all day long.

Niche, but a BEAST
This product is everything you expect to get from Rogue: heavy, overbuilt, and a little on the expensive side. The Anvil will have your forearms popping in no time, but I don't quite find this being a staple in my garage gym. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for grip training, but if you're an average Joe like myself, I would put this one on your Wishlist to come back to later after receiving some Rogue Gift Cards like I did.

Self-adhesive
I assume with the leadtime these are cut upon order; mine arrived with invisible yet extremely palpable lathe lines so if this isn't a one-off I'm wondering why people put chalk on theirs. But I'm mostly using mine for 3/4" fine "trigger point" stuff I thought was B.S. until I started digging into my deltoids. Either it works, amazingly well just under its own 12lbs, or it's so bad for you it's releasing your China White endorphins. Start with a fake Big Boomer (36"25lb DB handle, 4" steel landmine sphere on one end,) finish with this, you're pain free for days, so you can get right back to lifting with questionable form. Everyone else does it right, why be like everyone else.

Meh
Not sure I would purchase this again for two reasons. 1 - It's not something I have found myself using. That's mostly on me and not necessarily a reflection on the product, but it is a bit niche. 2- I got the bare metal version and there is what appears to be rust on it within a couple months of owning it. I keep all my equipment in my garage gym and live in the high desert. Little surprised to see that from a Rogue product so quickly. Other than the rust issue it's solidly built like most Rogue products. If it's something you think you will use I would suggest grabbing it on sale.

All of the gear from rogue is of amazing quality!
I bought the rogue sled harness, it works amazingly and is extremely comfortable, even when dragging 300lbs plus.

Solid shell
Well crafted projectile. Just monumental. The packaging also deserves respect. My grandchildren will also use it, corrosion does not threaten it, due to the coating.

Great feel and finish
Just wish it had a flared base. Also consider adding some sort of texture or ribbing. Love it so far!

New Favorite Squat Plug
I bought this 2 weeks ago as I wanted a high quality squat plug as all the other ones made my pain worse and worse. I'm pleasantly surprised! On my squats I have optimal core stabilization and my pain has gone away! I recommend everyone try it at least once! This brand is fantastic.
