Rogue Ohio Deadlift Bar - E-Coat
This version of the Rogue Ohio Deadlift Bar introduces a new Black E-Coat shaft finish. First popularized in the auto industry for its reliable coverage, adhesion, and corrosion resistance, this electrically applied coating has gained even wider favor for its environmental benefits, producing little to no HAPS (Hazardous Air Pollutants) or VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).
Like the other Ohio Deadlift Bar finishes, the E-Coat Ohio Deadlift Bar is machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio, and precision-engineered for the needs of the competitive deadlifter. The bar’s 190 KSI steel shaft is designed with a comparatively thin diameter (27mm) and longer overall length (90.5” – just within most powerlifting federation standards). This combination creates a power bar that is both easier to grip and better equipped for producing superior whip/flex when pulling. For many powerlifters, that greater flex means being able to pull from a higher point before the plates break off the floor, potentially increasing the amount of weight that can be lifted in the process.
The E-Coat Ohio Deadlift Bar’s bright zinc sleeves feature a quality snap ring construction—far superior to the cheaply produced bolt-and-pin style sleeves of some other brands. The powerlifting knurl marks on this bar are a bit deeper / more aggressive than our Standard Rogue Ohio Power Bar, but machined in the same pattern. There is no center knurl.

WHAT SETS THE E-COAT OHIO DEADLIFT BAR APART:
New E-Coat Finish
The black electrocoat, or E-Coat shaft finish on this version of the Ohio Deadlift Bar is an electrically-applied paint coating noted for its excellent corrosion resistance, cost efficiency, and green benefits. It has been widely adopted by leading manufacturers for the finishing of auto parts, metal stampings, fasteners, lawn/garden & agricultural equipment, military equipment, and much more. E-Coat finishes stand up to water, sunlight, and household chemicals, and they are compliant with the environmental safety standards of the RoHS, OSHA and EPA. All E-Coat Ohio Deadlift Bars also include Bright Zinc sleeves.
190 PSI Steel Shaft - Specialized for Deadlifts
This steel used for the Ohio Deadlift Bar is manufactured in the US and has proven to be one of the best steel variants for a competition power bar. Each barbell shaft is ground and polished prior to machining, enabling a consistent smooth surface. With this design, we also created a shaft with a thinner diameter (27mm) and longer length (90.5”), optimizing the bar’s flex/whip for high-performance deadlifts.
Machining & Assembly
Every bar shaft is machined in Columbus, Ohio, with painstaking attention to detail. A snap ring construction and quality bronze bushings ensure a smooth, consistent performance. The powerlifting knurl marks are a bit deeper / more aggressive than our Ohio Power Bar, but machined in the same pattern. There is no center knurl.
*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.
