Rogue RML-3W Fold Back Wall Mount Rack

Space Saving Power Rack, Made in the USA

The design challenge was to come up with a wall-mount unit that could be folded inward or outward for space savings, yet still offer the sturdiness of our standard Monster Lite racks. To achieve this, our engineering team developed a unique hinge and pin system that is both easy to install and rock solid. In use as a squat stand, pull up rig, or power rack, the feel is miles beyond lighter setups that use thinner steel.

A Rogue original Fold Back Rack is built with two 3X3” 11-gauge American steel uprights, laser cut in Columbus, Ohio, with Westside hole spacing through the bench/pull area, and 2”-on-center spacing above and below. All steel is powder coated in the Rogue factory for a durable finish.

Benefits of the RML-3W

  • 1Heavy Gauge American Steel & Hardware

The RML-3W uses heavy-duty 11 gauge 3x3" square laser cut steel uprights with 5/8" diameter SAE grade 5 bolt hardware. Laser cut holes and heavy duty hardware maintain maximum strength. The RML-3W rack is compatible with our exclusive ML accessories and add-ons. Start with the Fold-Back as your base, and build your arsenal over time.

  • 2Choice of Depth

The Fold Back Rack is available in two depths: 21.5” and 41.5”. In the 21.5” version, the sides of the rack will position flush against the wall whether you swing them inward (towards each other) or outward. With the 41.5” depth rack, the sides can still fold in or out, but if both are moved inward, there will be a slight overlap—so to open up max space, you'd want to fold either both sides outward or one inward and one outward. For most setups the 21.5" is the best choice. Choose 41.5" if you need more space in the rack for gymnastic movements.

  • 3Fit, Finish, and Lifetime Warranty

Every weld at Rogue is inspected individually at each step of the process for integrity and appearance. Each laser cut is inspected. Every part is again individually inspected for finish after the powder coat process. The entire package receives a final comprehensive quality assurance check before it’s shipped. The RML-3W is guaranteed by Rogue for Life.

  • 4Space Efficiency

When stowed away, the Fold Back Rack takes up less than 5” of space from the wall, meaning you can have a world-class power rack in your garage without having to park your car on the street at night. Maximize your space with our efficient Wall Storage options to save even more space.

  • 5Easy Installation

Each unit comes standard with a Quick-Attach Pullup bar, 4 mounting brackets for installation + all necessary hardware, a set of Monster Lite J-cups, and 4 detent pins. The brackets are designed with a little tolerance for variance in installation. The pins lock the rack into either the open position (ready for use) or closed position (against the wall). Having holes 2” on center allows for some choices in mounting the swing arms, which can be important if you need foundation clearance.
Important: Rogue does NOT recommend installing the Fold Back Rack on a wood, drywall, or metal stud wall without a stringer or additional support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MONEY WELL SPENT!!! I have wanted to purchase this for over a year. I tend you suffer from buyers remorse and without seeing it in person wasn't sure. I read all the reviews (and I mean ALL the reviews!). I went to a Metal fabrication shop, thinking I could get it made cheaper (ended up costing more than double). When I finally made the decision to pull the trigger, I continued to wait for a sale or free shipping. After 6 months of driving an extra 40 min to and from the gym on base I figured what I spent in gas I could of paid for the rack. I ordered it and got it in a week along with a boneyard bar (Ohio bar). I put the stringers up and painted them while I waited for it to get here. Once it arrived, I had it installed and using it in an hour! This rack has exceeded my expectations! Super sturdy! Set up and put away in less that a minute. My only regret is that I waited so long to buy it. If your limited on space and wanting something versatile, high quality and safe. Look no further, stop waiting, you won't be disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes I recommend this rack This rack has been a great addition to my garage gym. I was able to consolidate all my equipment into one system that takes up minimal space. The accessories available for this rig are perfect for my needs. I added plate storage and bar storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Rack Very happy with the rack. The installation is a bit of a pain, lots of measuring, but in the end its solid. Had to shim one of the posts due to the floor being uneven in the spot where the rack is extended, but otherwise no issues. This color is the dark red... had some trouble find any additional photos to see what it actually looked like before purchasing, but very happy I went with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YOU WIll NOT REGRET THIS PURCHASE!! I've been eyeing this rack for quite some time. I read most of the reviews and any video I could find on youtube. I'm so happy I purchased it from Rogue. There's nothing more I can add to the stellar quality of this product. Now I've had it for a few weeks and have had several sessions of training using it and all I can say is it's definitely worth your money. I can't say that enough. So on the install, it was straight forward. There isn't a lot of info on YouTube that I found to assist with the install but plenty in the review section of this website. The main thing I do wanna state is that if you install it in your garage it will be slightly uneven. Unless you install it on the wall facing the home. I chose to shim the post closest to the garage only because I didn't wanna develop any unbalances. Again you won't regret this purchase, I promise. And it's made in the U.S.A.!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Husband surprised me with this for my recent 30th Birthday! Took some time to put up since we did it on the side wall of garage (floor slopes) but love it! Have used it everyday so far when I can't get to class!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 Stars....But !! Excellent quality and i felt it was pretty easy to assemble . My only complaint is that i am 6' 4" and with the pull up bar in the very last hole my feet can still touch the ground . Other than this i love this rig .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice rack! Exactly as advertised. This rig is solid. We love everything about it, and all of the other stuff we ordered from Rogue. Read the reviews before you attempt the install. They are very helpful. Be warned that you need to have decent handyman skills to get this rack installed properly. I'll add a couple of observations from my install: 1. Rogue says not to use the safety spotter arms with the fold up rack for liability reasons. We aren't powerlifters, so I'm not worried about it. The thing isn't going anywhere with the amount of weight we use. If you do use the spotter arms beware that unless you can mount the bottom brackets as low as possible you won't be able to place the spotter arms low enough to work with bench press (you can still do inclines and squats). We had to mount our lower brackets up about 16.5 inches (center) to clear an uneven cement ledge...so we are going to get some rubber horse stall mats to give us the elevation we need for basic bench press with the spotters. 2. If you mount, like we did, on the side of your garage there will be a noticeable slope towards the garage door for water drainage. Not a problem. build your rack - including the brackets - and attach pull up bar (make sure the bolts are all going in the correct direction while you have the rack on the ground - there is a correct direction for both vertical and horizontal bolts). Hold up to the wall and mark the height of your stringers. You will mount the stringers LEVEL so use the upslope side as the height to mount. You will also mount your brackets level. The amount of vertical play with your brackets and your rack is about an inch, so the brackets on the downslope side of your rack should have rack attached toward the very top of the rack. This will allow you to shim the downslope side with a 1" piece of rubber or lumber. It will also allow you some "lift space" so that you can fold this side inward. You'll end up with level everything (except your bench, which I don't even notice). 3. Mount across 5 studs - make your stringers go about 5" past the end of the last stud on each side. If they are 16" on center you'll end up with a nicely centered rack without worrying about hitting any of your bolts that attach the stringer to the wall. I used 2x8s which were perfect. 1/2" bolts 4inches long and washers - this was probably overkill - could have used 3/8" Predrill everything. 4. The resin feet were a bit difficult to get on. Ended up using a round file to smooth some of the edges - otherwise couldn't hammer in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is what you're looking Looked at this for a while before buying and couldn't be happier with the purchase. Strong material that's well made as expected with Rogue equipment. Folds up easy and able to park the car in the garage fine. I'm capable with tools but it's nothing close to my profession, so if you're unsure you can do this install, you likely can with the tools, patience, and planning. There are no instructions on how to construct the stringer board which is where these reviews were helpful. I used a 2x8x8 stringer board into every stud (6) using 5/16 structural screws and slightly larger washers as someone else mentioned these are much easier than the lag screws, which I'm glad I did. Due to a vent my lower board is slightly higher than the instructions, therefore the given instructions were off with the supplied measurements. I then used the 1/2 x 2 lag screws and washers for the rack to the stringers and pre drilled these guys then used my impact wrench to bring it home. As another mentioned, I assembled the rack first without tightening and placed it against the wall to make sure I had the space (garage opener, water heater) I needed for overhead lifts and loading the weight. I did this to make sure both ends lined up as well with several levels and a lot of measuring. It's a good buy, just need patience on the install and plan as much as you can. Garage slope doesn't make any difference as the rack can adjust 1.5 inches vertically when constructed pending where you mount it into the stringer too. Another mentioned an issue with the gap from the j cups lacking from the barbell; I have plenty of room. Also had my j cups upgraded for a good price by leaving a comment in my order.
