Rogue RML-490 Power Rack

Starting with the same Westside-inspired design as the popular Rogue R-4 Power Rack, the RML-490 utilizes 3x3” 11-Gauge Steel uprights—making it among the strongest and sturdiest power racks in the industry. Built in Columbus, Ohio, this highly customizable Monster Lite rack is equipped to serve professional strength training facilities, collegiate weight rooms, military training bases, and small garage gyms, alike.

The RML-490 includes Westside hole spacing, 0.625" hardware, and a set each of Monster Lite J-cups, pin/pipe safeties, and band pegs. Both a 43” Fat/Skinny Pull-Up and 43” Single Skinny Pull-Up Bar also come standard.

With just a 53" x 53" standard footprint, the RML-490 Power Rack is a compact unit well suited to custom additions. Popular accessories include the Monster Lite Matador, Monster Lite Safety Spotter Arms, and Long Plate Storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy duty rack Just received my RML-490C in Rouge red, its beautiful. Solid as a rock. It took me approximately one hour to build including 15 mins disposing of boxes and another 15 minutes explaining to my wife why this "monstrosity" was in her parking space in the garage. Negatives: pin safeties heavy and awkward to use, so I went ahead and purchased safety straps. Minor scratches in paint on mount feet. Stabilizer bar does hinder bench from going back far enough to use rear uprights. I still highly recomend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Killer rack This rack is hot...not only is is solid but its sexy....which in my opinion goes pretty far in terms of helping me get motivated to lift. It also serves as a great storm shelter...I set up my infant under this rack during a recent tornado warning. The rack is expensive, but if you have the money, you should buy it and get your pump on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Pleased Arrived eight days ago as estimated even though I'm in a rural location in Canada. Easy set-up, no shipping damage and no missing parts. Very solid construction. I ordered the stabilizer as I wan't bolting to the floor but I ended up bolting to my DIY platform so I may remove it. Though it doesn't seem to impact my bench from that side as I am using the mono-lift. Overall I am impressed with the quality and the stability. Love the west-side spacing. Using a sharpie to mark off peg positions for my lifts and my kids. I upgraded to the sandwich J-cups and straps. A very happy lifter...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trust the reviews So far, the RML 490 has exceeded every expectation that I've read about. I was stuck deciding between the RML-390F (flatfoot), RML-690, along with Titan options, and other off brand options. At first I wasnt sure if I wanted a small or big rack. I really wanted the biggest and sturdiest rack out there because I thought a smaller rack might be too small and wobbly. I also didn't think that I wanted to bolt it down. I decided to go with the 490 because it seemed like the perfect middle ground. I'll just say that this rack is a total beast. I think I would of been just fine without bolting it, but bolting it made it nearly unshakable. You'll read a lot of reviews saying that Rogue is too expensive and that brands like Titan can do the same for far less. While mostly true, I thought of this as an investment for a lifetime gym membership within my own home. I knew with confidence that I would only have to buy once with Rogue. Plus all the add-ons and accessories that they're always developing made feel that this rack would offer me everything I would need from now and in the future. If you're serious about lifting, then get this rack. Get what you pay for and never look back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rack Had the rack for a little over a month now. Am completely satisfied. Love the Westside spacing. More solid than I’d ever need. Great overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid as... well you know what. I've had my RML-490 set up for about three weeks. This rack is rock solid. It's pretty easy to put together, too, provided you have the right tools. I can see this thing lasting -- easily -- my entire life.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Horrible safety device. Good rig. Overall I am happy with the rig. It is extremely solid and relatively easy to install. Its built to last will probably be just as functional in 20 years as it is now. It looks great, just as you should expect from Rogue. If I were just grading the rig I would give it a 5/5. I am giving it a 4/5 because of the safety "pipes" included in the purchase. They serve no purpose whatsoever, and you will not take the time to adjust them where you need during workouts. They are extremely bulky and hard to place in the rig by themselves. You literally "need a spotter" to insert the safety spotters. Rogue should remove them from the package altogether. I read another review stating that if you inquire, you can upgrade to the safety straps for an additional cost? I wish I would have explored this option. Due to the lack of functionality, I later bought the safety straps. But hey, whats another $190 for the equipment and $60 for shipping? A side note on installation...I purchased horse-stall mats to go underneath the rig. Instead of cutting the mats around rig frames, I put the rig on top of the mats where I wanted and drilled straight through the mats into the concrete. This worked fine, and I have talked to other people that have done the same.
