Expect it to get the job done as it should.
Easy to use, sturdy built. It gets the job done. And if it ever breaks I'm getting a new one as there is no better option currently. Getting the reps in and profiting off the results should be considered more important than sparing equipment. Like you simply treat food as fuel, simply treat this one as a tool. Use it. If needed replace it. Still a better option than replacing parts of your body at some point in the future. Training Tip: Go as hard as you can on your Hip Flexors with reasonable load. They recover within a day, perhaps less than a day, so attack them as often as possible.

Fundamental under-engineered design flaw
I bought a pair of MF a few years back and they were great for doing really full range knee extension and flexion exercises and I got stronger, so when they each eventually failed, I recently bought another pair and the first one failed even faster than the first two. The problem is that with repetitive use, the pin for the buckle mechanism bends to the point that you can no longer secure the MF to your foot, and this happens rapidly with DB over 40 lbs. While MF is advertised to hold up to 160 lb DB, that is laughably and dangerously wrong. After the third MF slid down by leg, I knew I needed to notify Rogue and warn others about this. I am on my fourth and FINAL MF and I cannot recommend this product until the cheaply under-engineered design flaws are addressed. It can work for lighter DB, but then so do many other products.

Bad quality
After 3 months of light use, the ratchet strap is breaking down, and a foot pad became delaminated and fell off. Even before that, it fits my foot poorly and is made very cheaply. Avoid this product, I can't believe it's priced as high as it is.

Not great for heavier weights
They slip off. Don’t work with Nike 270s. The base of your foot ends up being raised. Really not great.

Monkeyfeet is a great training tool!
I bought my first single Monkeyfeet(MF) early this spring after using it a fair bit and liking what it's enabled me to do, I ordered a second single MF a few minutes ago so I have a pair. what I like about it: 1. portable. can use it anywhere that has some hex dumbells. My MF also was compatible with my Olympic dumbbell handles. 2. gives me access to open chain, single joint, single limb/isolateral lower body training without downsides of machines(cost/resistance curve feeling off from limb length not matching up well with machine design/locked in to whatever gym has/machines are popular during peak hours so probability is high you'd be forced to have some form of a social interaction with another human to use the leg extension machine at 5:48pm in a commercial gym) 2A. can do single joint lower body isolation in different body positions that could possibly be more functional like using wall, squat rack, or TRX for support/balance combining hip flexion/knee extension/flexion using MF and triple extension isometric of the stance leg(seems like potential good way to develop strength/control on the farther side of ROM). standing unilateral hip extension isometric with a hamstring curl(gold standard of biceps femoris isolation) 3. let's you target different "rays" within a plane of motion similar to a cable. 4. MF uses minimal storage space/floor space. if you have enough space to lay down and do a snow angel on the floor with another 1-2ft of clearance around you you probably have enough space to do just about anything you can do with MF. 5. if you're embarrassed by how horrifyingly embarrassingly pathetically weak you are, you can use monkeyfeet to train in the privacy of your home/garage gym/basement/bedroom. I'm sure there are many more strengths. These are most apparent to me off the top of my head laying on couch in my post dinner vegetative food coma mental state. Things I didn't like: 1. Doesn't work with every type of dumbbell(I'm apparently horrifyingly embarrassingly pathetically weak and I should not be lifting weights in public training facilities where I can be seen by other people due to how horrifyingly pathetically embarrassingly weak I am) and was unable to find any 5lb or lighter dumbbells around the house or at the gym with wide enough handles to be compatible with MF 2. initially I bought a single MF to see if I would like it. I found that I did like MF a lot and was irritated by having to take it off and put it on the other foot. For some movements it's just easier/more time efficient to have a pair with one on each foot at the same time.

Monkey foot plastic parts
Seems like a useful exercise tool except for the plastic release tab that broke on my first use.

Sorry, but not worth the effort.
I wanted to like this product because it's a great idea. But it's a royal pain to use. A re-design is definitely in order. If not applied precisely it can cause ankle pain. It may not work with all shoes. Plus changing weights quickly is really not an option. You have to plan the weight swap and be balanced to complete it. It's not that you can't do it, it's just a pain to have to stop and mess around with this during a vigorous workout. If you have limited space, live in an apartment or perhaps on vacation these might be worth the effort. But if you have a good sized home gym as I do, Monkeyfeet will not likely enhance your workouts. Sometimes you buy a fitness product that looks like it would add to your workout then find out it doesn't. This was the case for me.
