Rogue RM-4 Monster Rack 2.0

Rogue designed the fully customizable power racks of the Monster Series to meet the high demands of the top professional, collegiate, and high school athletic facilities in the world. We used bigger, 3x3" 11-gauge steel tubing, over-sized 1" hardware, and a bolt-together design for easier portability and affordable shipping. With Version 2.0, we’ve also rolled out a number of new features, including a wide spectrum of custom color options, laser-cut pin position numbers on the uprights and bottom crossmembers, and a keyhole pattern on the sides of each upright—creating compatibility with more add-ons and attachments.

The 43" depth RM-4 Monster Rack is available in three height options (90”, 100”, 108”); comes with all required 1" hardware and 4 band pegs; and ships standard with (2) Rogue Monster 1.5" Wrenches. Any other attachments and accessories pictured are NOT included. You can explore many of our compatible Monster Rack attachments on this page and add selections to your order (at a listed additional cost) via the convenient dropdown menu.

Updates on Color Options: The new Monster Rack 2.0 units include a dozen different custom color coating options, most of them in a medium gloss powder coat (the Satin Clear finish is a transparent finish, meaning any blemishes or marks from the manufacturing process will still be visible in the steel). Customers can also choose our new Black Cerakote finish; an ultra-durable, ceramic-based coating first popularized in the firearm industry. Prior to receiving a Cerakote finish, all parts of the rack are sandblasted to remove any dirt and contaminants for a better coating adhesion.

Notes on Front Crossmember: While a front pull-up bar is the standard on this rack, some users elect to connect the front uprights with one of our 43" Monster Top Beams, instead. This 3x3" crossmember adds some extra stability and attachment versatility to the unit, and by moving the pull-up bar to the middle of the rack, it can allow for a few extra inches of height on pull-ups, as well.

Notes on Stainless Steel : Please be aware that these are raw steel parts and will have minor imperfections from laser cutting and welding.

Important: Unit must be bolted to floor unless stabilizer is added. Mounting Hardware Not Included

Rogue RM-4 Monster Rack 2.0 is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 69.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built and worth it I had planned on remodeling a room and getting a rack eventually but COVID sped that process up once the gym closed. ROGUE makes great stuff and this is no exception. The materials are made well, great welds, and the paint is durable. Extremely happy with the rack and all the accessories. Well worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Built like a tank, everything is solid and excellent craftsmanship. It’s expensive but you get what you pay for. My only caution is height, my gym started in my garage so I had the taller rack. When I upgraded houses I had enough room to move it in the house... didn’t fit so now I’m buying my second one. On the positive side it held its value very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock Solid Rack This rack is exactly what I expected, solid and functional. Took about 30 minutes to assemble and a bit more time to get it anchored to the floor, but it will never move. The covid wait was long but well worth it. Thanks Rogue, now I have a great home gym.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, Steady, Safe I got RM-4 over RM-3 because I wanted it to be couple reasons. 1) stable without anchor (w/ mini feet in the future), 2) enough space that the plate does not hit the rear posts during squat. It is very solid. I was planning to add extra cross member at bottom or top, and mini feet. So far it has not moved from where I built it. I don't have enough plates to go beyond 320 lb. If you are using much heavier weight, probably you should. Safety Strap is very cool. I can set it up to where bar touches is because it has give. So, when I do fail, it catches higher place than spot bar would have been. It gives me mental assurance, and to do the one last rep. There are so many thing you can do. I mostly stay inside of cage: squat, flat bench, incline bench, pull up, neutral grip pull up with band pegs, rows, dead lift, barbell press, clean & jerk. I put 2 inch gymnastics mat next to it, and hook my feet under bottom bar to do body weight hamstring training. I just ordered landmine to add more variation. Shipping was nice. 14 boxes. Just a box full of bolts was broken, and missing some. But Rouge's customer service took care that right away. Thank you customer support team. I felt bad for UPS guy. So I helped him. In return he helped me to bring everything inside garage. Thank you UPS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built like a tank Had to wait about 6 weeks for it to arrive due to Covid, but MAN was it ever worth it!! 1 inch bolts and hardware are no joke, this thing could hold up my entire house!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from RM-4 Recommended with some considerations I was happy to be able to order this rack during a time when it was very hard to secure good gym equipment. This was my largest home gym purchase. I will take you through the good, neutral and bad to help you make your best choice. I purchased the 90inch tall version of the monster rack in black with the rogue red name plate. The first part of the review will focus on the materials and quality. The 4 post rack is solid construction. My rack is 43 inches deep. I have it placed on horse stall mats and do not feel like it needs to be secured to the ground. I considered the stabilizer, those mini feet, etc. In the end, I saved cash and didn’t need them. I upgraded into the safety straps. They are solid and I could recommend them for use with rack pulls that won’t tear up a great barbell. For my space, 43 inches allows me to do all my lifting in the rack with plate storage low on the “back side”. The height is perfect for pull-ups (at 6’). My wife is 5’6 and can’t reach the bar. When I do overhead pressing, my plates occasionally touch the hardware on the top crossbar. When I squat, the width of the rack sometimes results in plates grazing the cup as I walk the weight back. None of these issues represent a major impairment to an awesome workout. Build quality 5/5 The wait time for arrival of the rack was extended. I waited over 30 days. Kinda hard to spend $1800+ and chill, but I knew the waits were long. What was unexpected was some shipping issues. The parts for the rack arrived over a two week period. Initially, there was missing hardware and the posts for the rack were significantly damaged in transit. At times, some of the rack components shipped while others were listed as back ordered or out of stock. After spending about 3 hours dealing with customer service, documenting damage, and long hold times, all issues were resolved. Rogue replaced the posts and sent complete sets of hardware. The frustration of 3 weeks of parts and replacement parts arriving was a little suboptimal. My other large orders shipped via freight, but the entire rack was shipped UPS part by part. I had a pile of rack boxes in my house for multiple weeks before I could even begin assembly. The hardware and wrenches were the last to arrive. Shipping 2/5 Customer Service 4/5 (one guy was awesome and saved the whole transaction). Performance has matched the build quality. I like to lift on the heavy side and the unit is stable. I weigh north of 260 and pull-ups don’t budge the rack. It stays in place for nearly everything I have thrown at it. I have a pull down system that I can attach to the pull up bar. When I load over 130lbs and pull outside of the rack, the back foot moves a bit. The standard JCups are not completely covered with plastic, so the front of the cup can still mar your bar. I would like to buy the sandwhich replacements when they come in stock. The strap system is strong, although difficult to change heights when moving over 6-7 spacing holes. When you adjust the straps from a higher position to a much lower position, you have to move the straps in stages. Performance 4/5 I have ordered weight storage for the rack. Temporarily, I used the band pegs to hoist a few 25kg plates. They work okay for weight storage, but the black zinc coat immediately melted away. Overall, the black zinc hardware is suboptimal and looks like garbage after 2 months of use. It looks like I used old hardware on a new rack. Overall 4/5. Summary: Great product. I picked Rogue for the fit and finish, the customer service and build quality. I set my expectations very high. Maybe too high. I am a chill guy who bought a rack during quarantine. Some aspects were amazing. Some minor flaws and annoyances resulted in the loss of a star. I am grateful to have the rack and hope this helps inform your selection.
