Rogue RM-4 Fortis Rack

The versatile, American-made RM-4 Fortis power rack features the same 3x3" 11 gauge steel construction and 1" hardware as the standard Monster Series, but with fully welded panels in a satin black finish. The holes are spaced 2" on center up and down the front and back of each 90" upright, and one Monster Single Skinny Pull-Up Bar comes standard. These features—along with the reduction in hardware and shipping created by the full panel welding—makes the Fortis a top quality power rack at a budget price.

Both the 43" depth RM-4 Fortis rack and the more compact 30" depth RM-3 Fortis are manufactured in the USA, and ship with a set each of Monster J-cups, Pin/Pipe Safeties, and Band Pegs. Every pin position on the uprights and the bottom crossmembers is identified with a laser cut number, allowing an easy visual when setting J-cups and safeties to identical heights. A wide range of other compatible, Monster accessories are also available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two racks in one When I bought this rack nearly two years ago it was for occasional use because I was training in a gym. Since last March my wife and I have been training together in the garage. The depth of this rack makes it perfect for training with a partner. It will easily accommodate two loaded barbells at the same time inside the rack. With an extra pair of hooks two people can squat or bench heavy inside the rack or set up on the outside front or back. It does take up more space than a 24" or 30" depth rack but for us it is doing the work of two racks in a lot less space and for a lot less money. The more we train on this rack the more we love it. I hope Rogue will start making these again soon for all the training partners out there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy, Excellent Quality. Great Value I've used a lot of power racks over the years. Its pretty safe to say when I had a gym membership that I would typically spend all my time on one. They are such a versatile piece of equipment. I bought this rack about 4 years ago, and its by far the best value for the money. However, if I had it to do over again I would buy the more expensive modular design. The one limitation that's a real downer is the height. I'm a big person" tall "with really long arms and when doing standing overhead presses I make contact with the frame while inside the rack. Its not a huge deal;I can do them from the outside, but I wish it was something I had thought about before buying it. Also, I have had to move this thing several times by myself, moving the sides can be a pain. Having something that would breakdown a little further would have been nice. Also looking back you can buy the add on for the half rack with additional storage later when you figure out how much more convenient it would be. My suggestion go ahead and spend the extra $ for the additional nice to haves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Rack This is the best rack I've ever used anywhere, and it's in my own garage. It's probably sturdier than the bolt together versions, and it's cheaper. It is solid when not bolted to the floor, but do yourself a favor and bolt it to the floor. If anyone has an engineering background they will tell you closed torsional sections are much stronger than open ones, and bolting the rack down is essentially closing the the rack. It becomes a lot more rigid and stable when bolted. I used screw-in concrete anchors, a hammer drill with a masonry bit, and an impact wrench.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rack great customer service Purchase about a month ago. Great rack. Everything I expected and more. Be of the boxes came damaged from UPS and items missing but customer service rectified immediately. 2nd rack I’ve purchased from rogue as myself and older kids train in garage. Both racks have been exceptional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome rack I bought this 3 months ago it arrived in perfect condition. I like the finish and that it has the sides numbered very useful. I got the spotter arms instead of the pin pipe. It’s a great purchase for my garage gym. Rogue always has quality items and their customer service is 11/10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bargain in the Rogue lineup I debated on what rack to buy for over a year. Rogue, Elite FTS, and Sorinex. I shopped them all online. I bought the Fortis. Best bang for the buck hands down. It's well built. Built like a tank would be an understatement. Finish as a general rule was nice. I few little bubbles but nothing major. Not something to concern myself with. The Rogue decal wasn't on straight. Again I don't care since it's cosmetic. Fit was spot on. I assembled it myself in about 45 minutes. Pickup was easy. It was ready when I got to Rogue HQ. They got it into my truck with no issue and I was on my way home. A good experience no doubt. I do have some suggestions for the rack: 1. Skip the pin safeties. Biggest waste. They make good weight at the bottom of the rack where they currently reside. I did one set with them and I went in and bought the safety straps. I wish I could have traded them and customer service would probably allow the swap at order. It may cost a few bucks but I wouldn't have ballast at the bottom of my rack. 2. I also added a crossmember to the rack as a stabilizer. I don't have it bolted down as it is stable but it should be bolted down. If you plan to do band work or dynamic pull-ups it's imperative. 3. Go find a socket to fit the massive bolt. The wrenches you get with the rack while nice are a literal pain in the hand. Sharp edges on the parts you grab. It's a great rack plain and simple. If you want the benefits of what a Monster Rack brings it's is a steal. If you don't need custom colors this is a good way to go. The only issue I see for some is that it is welded and not bolt together. Mine is in a garage so I didn't have to worry but but if you are trying to put in your house it could present challenges maneuvering it around.
