RML-390F Flat Foot Monster Lite Rack

The RML-390F is the Flat Foot version of the RML-3 Monster Lite Power Rack. Available as a stand-alone unit or by converting an existing SML-2 or SML-3 Squat Stand, this rack's self-stabilizing base means you won't need to bolt it to the ground before you use it—a major benefit for those looking to protect their floors or to have more flexibility in a workout space.

The Flat Foot Monster Lite Rack is manufactured in Columbus, OH, and features 3x3" 11-gauge steel uprights, 2x3" 11-gauge steel bases with Westside hole spacing and 5/8" bolts and fasteners. Leaving just a 48" x 49" footprint, the unit still creates a substantial 30" of inside depth. Customers can choose between a Single Skinny or Fat/Skinny 43" Pull-up Bar, and all orders come standard with a pair of Monster Lite J-Cups and a pin/pipe safety system.

RML-390F Conversion Kit Includes:

  • (2) Monster Lite 90" Sticks
  • (1) XML-30" Crossmember Pair
  • (1) 30" Pin/ Pipe Safety System
  • All additional hardware required

Please Note: Band Pegs and Safety Spotter Arms should NOT be used with the Flat Foot Rack.

ALSO: If you already own a Rogue SML-2 or SML-3 Monster Lite Squat Stand and want to convert it to a Flat Foot Power Rack, we offer an RML-390F Conversion Kit with all of the components and hardware you will need. The conversion kit is only compatible with the SML-2 and SML-3 and provided uprights will only be available at the 90" height.

RML-390F FLAT FOOT MONSTER LITE RACK
I purchased RML-390F FLAT FOOT MONSTER LITE RACK and the process, as usual with Rogue, was super easy, the email notifications regarding shipping status is always great. This arrived in several different boxes, a couple banged up by UPS but no damage. Put it together (2 people) and that process was pretty straight forward. I couldn't buy a rack that can bolted to the floor because I can't do that so I was a bit concerned about the stability. But this rack doesn't move! I have 130lbs on each storage channel on each sides and its not moving. I also purchased a set of monster lite sandwich J-cups and I like having them along with the ones that came with the rack, this way I have a set for squats and bar presses and don't have to move them around. Fits perfect in our basement gym. I only purchased the single pull-up bar - as I think the duo bar wouldn't have worked for me. We use the rack 4-5 x wk and I feel much more comfortable lifting with the safety devices. I also purchased the safety straps and prefer those over the pin and pipe to reduce any impact on barbell. I accidentally ordered the wrong storage channels and the return / exchange process was super easy.

Excellent “Grow as you go” Piece
I originally purchased the SML-C squat flat foot squat stand and decided to expand to the RML-390 recently and loved how easy it was to convert and unlock new uses for my space. I am slightly let down with the fact that some add ons aren’t compatible with the flat foot variant, but am ultimately very happy with the rack

RML-390F Flat Foot Monster Lite Rack - 43" Fat/Ski
After all the research and physical training education from some of the highest level inside the DoD; this is the standard. When it came to implementing my own home gym; I went with something that could test the punishment I would put on it. The MLR is it. From the design, feel, and shape; it passes all the tests. I have recommend this product to everyone. The price is only going to continue to go up, like I knew it would when I began researching this!

Solid American build
Spend a few more dollars and buy American. Solid rack from top to bottom. Cut 1.5" off the top with a grinder with a diamond blade so I could fit it in my basement (Rogue wouldn't cut it at the time -pandemic). 30" box gives you the space you need to move around without such a large footprint. Use a white China marker to denote holes, otherwise safety strap placement can be irregular. Only work around is that the triangular plates that stabilize the rack at the bottom interfere with some exercises where you want to clamp in your safeties. After about 9months of use, in retrospect, I should have bought the Monster rack. Standardized and labeled 1"holes and more future proofing. Small regret, really can't lose either way.

4 Stars if you get sandwich j-cups
If you get this, the Sandwich version of the j-cup bar holders is a MUST! Do not get the standard j-cups. Benefits of this rack: - No bolting down to cement or walls. - Can do the 3 best power exercises, bench press, squat, and deadlift in a relatively small space (6x10 sqft). Problems with this rack: - It's 1-2 inches too wide, making re-racking your bar a tight squeeze without dinging your bar's collar points on the side of the rack. This is why I think the sandwhich style j-cups are mandatory. They'll give you another inch of clearance on either side of your bar's collars. - The depth of the rack is about 2 inches too shallow. At 48 inch depth, there is a high likelihood you will bump your bar weights into your weight storage at anywhere other than the very bottom bolt positions. The larger weight plates are ~9 inches in radius. So if you have large weights on the bar, and large weights in storage, 9 + 9, 18 inches of depth is consumed by weight length alone. Then you have to add the distance between your eyes and your lower sternum for proper bench press form, which is also ~18 inches, depending on your height (it's 18 inches for me). When you add it up, you get 36 inches, which leaves you 12 inches of wiggle room on paper. Not bad! Then you realize the depth measurement isn't the depth of your cage uprights, it's the depth of your rack's feet, which means you only had 38 actual inches of depth this whole time. You get a whole 2 inches of wiggle room to not slam your bar weights into your storage weights... Oh, but there's more! Your j-cups protrude out from the uprights nearly 2 inches. Ta da! All your wiggle room vanished. You better have absolutely perfect form every time.

Awesome Rack
I never do reviews on n anything I buy. But this here is my first and last. This rack is a great rack that you will find in commercial gym. It’s very sturdy and well made. It will take the abuse of the weights if need be. Doesn’t take up too much space in my garage. Took my time and build this rack in two hours. Very easy to build this rack.

Excellent Device
After using the Monster Lite Squat Rack for a month or so, I couldn't be happier. The rack works as well as anything I find in my public gym. The functionality and build quality are first rate. Another purchasing factor was that this product is built is the USA and not off shore. A big plus for me. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a free standing squat rack for their home gym.
