Monster Lite Sandwich J-Cup Pair

Tested at more than 1,000LB, these J-Cups have 3.5" depth and lock around two sides of the upright--increasing the structural integrity and reducing the risk of an athlete jarring a cup loose when racking the bar from below. A UHMW plastic core sits in the center of the "sandwich" to keep the barbell as safe as the person using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sandwich J-Cups I have both the original J-Cup and these. These are great. They create a lot more clearance using a 20kg Ohio Power bar compared to the original J-cups. They are are much better on the bar then the original with no possible way for metal on metal. I've read the other reviews about the screws, and they are not an issue at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from UPDATE on prior review I previously reviewed the J cups and gave them a 1 star review. My biggest complaint was that they sway a lot when attached to the rack. On the back of the J cup support is a pre drilled hole. Last night I drilled the hole out to a large enough diameter to accommodate a 5/16" bolt and tapped the hole. Than I purchased some 5/16" clamping bolts. Once the clamping bolts are screwed into the newly tapped hole, they allow me to screw the back side of the J cups into the uprights, firmly securing the J cup to the posts. For a cost of $125 plus shipping, these should already come like this. Rogue Fitness, please take note and make the necessary changes. It is very distracting when the bar sways so much while unracking the bar during benching and squatting. I do enjoy having more clearance for the collars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stick with the standard J cup These do not function as well as they look. They wiggle way to much when racking/unracking the bar. It’s very noticeable. Rogue really needs to redesign them so that there is a way to securely fasten them to the uprights. Save yourself $40 and stick with the standard J cups. Because of their length, they get in the way of the safety strap system as well. These cups also leave a lot of the UHHW protective plastic on the bar. The only pro to these are that you will have more clearance for the collars when re-racking the bar. I like to roll the bar to the edge of the Cups before unracking when benching and it’s not possible with these because they are angled.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Quality Used them a few times but its enough for me to say that the regular hooks do a better job than these, sure they look nice but they slide out when you try to center the bar with even very light weight on them, before you order these make sure you try them out, read the return policy Once you used them you stuck with them,Rogue's customer service is really nice and they will tell you in a nice way "Unfortunally we can't help you" even if its just steel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for the bar I bought these J Cups to protect my bars, and they work exceptionally well. I love these things and would buy another pair for my west bench. These work great when racking on heavy squats. You do not have to worry about scratching the knurling at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality j-cups Great Rogue quality, exactly as advertised. I really like these because I use a wider grip on squats and these j-cups give me about 3/4" extra width on each side as to not pinch my fingers re-racking. The design also helps re-racking squats. I walk my squat to the j-cup where the pointed end touches my palms and I can safely re-rack without pinching my hands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Essential! I bought a pair of these last month as I wanted to ensure there was no metal to metal contact with my nice barbells. They are big, heavy and well made and for me a total necessity for my rig. I like the fact that the UHMW is also on the underside of the J-Cup in case of any inadvertent contact during pressing. I like them so much that I have an ordered another set - one for bench and one for squats.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product, but One Suggestion When trying to move the bar side to side, to center it, sometimes the hooks will swing to the side a bit. This could be avoided by adding another bit of metal to the bottom of each hook with a hole, so that you could put one of those orange handled pins through. That is how the monolift arms attach, and it works quite well to keep them stablized.
