Monster Lite Sandwich J-Cups Set

Tested at more than 1,000 LBS, our Monster Lite Sandwich J-Cups have 3.5" depth and lock around two sides of the upright—increasing the structural integrity and reducing the risk of an athlete jarring a cup loose when racking the bar from below.

A UHMW plastic core sits in the center of the "sandwich" to keep the barbell as safe as the person using it.

Much better than SML-1 J-cups
These are excellent J-cups and should be standard issue with the SML-1 squat stands. Rogue should raise the price of the SML-1 slightly to cover the cost of adding the Monster LIte Sandwich J-cups, if necessary, but they should be standard. The cups that came with the SML-1 are not good cups.

Great for the squat position
This makes it easy to re-rack squats in 49 inch racks without hitting the j-cups with the barbell collars. The j-cups swinging can be fixed by putting 2-3 layers of UHMW tape on the inside contact points (except for the side contact point, one layer will do there). This closes the gap between the j-cup and the uprights, making them sit very snugly depending on how many layers you use.

An upgrade with benefits
Well-designed, attractive, and functional. The extra room these give you for your bar sleeves at the rack is nice. With the regular j-cups, racking the bar doesn't afford much tolerance in room to avoid hitting your sleeves, but these are narrower in design and therefore add just the right amount of extra space to easily rack the bar. I hesitated for a long time to purchase these due to the cost versus my perceived benefit, but glad I got them and highly recommend them.

Excellent J-Cups
I purchased these to provide a slight bit more room for racking my MG-3 Multigrip bar on My Monster Lite rack. It is a pretty tight fit. They are very sturdy and work great! I still sometimes bang my bar on the rack, but not on the J-Cups. I recommend these if you need just a bit more room to rack your bar on your Monster Lite rack. Good luck!

Huge difference
I only had the regular j-cup when i initially purchased my power rack. Once I got this, it makes a big difference. This J-cup has a little bit more room for the barbell than the original j-cup.

Wish they had a locking pin
Great built quality, but there is a ton of room for improvement. I wish they had UMHW inside to protect the upright, a locking pin to stop them from moving horizontally, and maybe a roller to make it easier to move the bar.

Great upgrade over standard j-cups.
These are certainly not a "must have" over the standard ML j-cups, but they are a great upgrade if you have the money to do so. With the standard j-cups I was frequently hitting the corners of the wrap-around part of the j-cups which chipped the paint and put nicks in the barbell sleeves. With the sandwich j-cups that does not happen due to the extra clearance these provide. Also I feel like these provide a less jarring racking after a hard set of bench or squats. All six welds on each cup are nicely done and completely uniform. The matte black powder coat was perfect upon unboxing. Everything lines up nicely. Expensive, but high quality and a really nice upgrade over the standard.
